If you think in terms of rpgs, casual and hardcore work this way: Casual players have a little less time to play so it takes longer to beat an rpg. 'Hardcore' players, or rather people with just more time, can beat an rpg in a matter of hours or days depending. Why should this be any different for an mmorpg? People should have the choice to rank up slowly, or quickly, if they so choose. There is guardian's aspect, leves, locals, several things that are there to help along both people with lots of time and not so much time. It's a good balance. There are some people that want things now, but that is regardless if they have time or not. Casual players do not equal 'weaklings' and Less Casual players do not equal 'better than everyone else.' It's all a mindset. People have to work towards goals to complete them. Depending on the time you have depends on how long it will take you and how much sweeter your victory will taste.

ffxi had exp rings tons of them and hardcores used them as well.

i read it that way too
and its moreso what ive been talking about there are ALOT of people who think this way

some of the casuals may not be talking about it, but ALOT of others are(and those that arent need to cool down and realize whats happening, and stop acting like us hardcores dont know what we are talking about)

especialy those that dont play the game

    Hummm...not exactly!

The XP ring is for everyone (HCG+Casuals).
The XP bonus would be 1HR/day, 7HR/Week.
So the bonus would be during a "normal" time of playing.
And there won't be a bonus XP in what i would call "bonus time" for HCG. If we say that the difference between HCG & Casu is time.
    (but it's not only that^^)

The answer was for Eldaena ^^
    you're posting so fast

Correct. The rewards for participating in endgame should not discriminate between casual and hardcore players, period. That is probably the biggest complaint that casuals have: they don't get a lot of chances to get the "uber" gear because the hardcores tend to muscle them out of any chance at it.

And yeah, the MMO market is going after casuals more because they are a much larger cut of the demographics. The more people they can appeal to, the more revenue they earn. This is common sense in business - so if the hardcore crowd is going to complain, they're only going to hurt the game in the long term, fiscally speaking.

In a nut shell: A money inflow is important for MMOs to sustain themselves at a minimum, and if they exceed minimum requirements and achieve adequate profits, they will be able to produce more expansion content for the game. Therefore, the complaints of the hardcore will end up taking a backseat to the complaints of everybody else.

Where are they talking about it? Can you point to a forum post? A blog post? A youtube video? Screenshot from your chat log? I've asked more than once for physical proof of this theory, and no one has provided it yet. All I get is, "Tons of casuals are whining because they want an easy button" or some other pure speculation.

and ffxi had exp rings and signet gave exp bonus. everyone used them hardcore or casual. so far no one in this thread is looking to have levels or gear handed to them. You the one in hystarics over it.

if they arent looking for it why are there several posts above here talking about SP gains, that are coming form the casual point of view!

    I(we?) don't say I would like "more".
I'm trying to explain that everyone should be able to enjoy the game with their time limits..

    I don't want a new xp bonus.
I just think it's cool with the guardian system.

A casu should easily pexing one job
    and stuff it
A hcg will , if he want up several jobs.

If/When the time is the difference between casu & hcg, this should be a little erased
But only when it's a question of time.

But after i don't doubt that there is a question of skills too!
    I've a lot of time, i don't play very well, i don't have yours jobs/stuff no probleme =)

you may not have meant it like that but there were several other people before you who did

who specificaly said they should be able to level in 1 hour what it takes a hardcore several hours to get
