3DFX Glide support!!! i mean... OpenGL
In all seriousness, i would like to see the graphics settings more open ended or at least expandable as the game progresses. It looks beautiful as is, but i want it to be able to progress with time. Everquest had an expansion pack (shadows of luclin) that dramatically increased graphics quality and i was hopeful to see the same in XI, but it never came.
Right now, X|V does not really push current graphics cards on highest quality settings. i would like to have the option to go higher, but i know that people will just complain that their computer can not run it on the highest settings.
if they simply updated in game character/NPC models to match the character creator models you'd never peel me away from XI.In all seriousness, i would like to see the graphics settings more open ended or at least expandable as the game progresses. Well the current 14 pushes most high end systems because of how unoptimized the engine isIn all seriousness, i would like to see the graphics settings more open ended or at least expandable as the game progresses. That doesnt count >.> lol
I hope unlike in FFXI they feel ok making a visual difference between the two - and continue to do so.
It feels like they are willing to because they said they will add DX11 later.
They hinted at a realm reborns release also being on the next gen playstation. which is most likely going to be announced next e3. i think maybe by then we will get the dx 11 patch or before then
I would just like it to be stable. And run faster. I don't see the game's appearance improving much, if any. Tessellation is really unnecessary. It generally does not improve the appearance of objects. I assume it's done with the existing pixel shaders anyhow.
It's funny because my computer says esthetically is right XD I knew it looked wrong. shit.
The one time I do this and that's what I get..
Well >.> I fixed it. Shhhh.

Oh it sure does. Just run, for example the Unigine Heaven benchmark with and without tessellation to see the difference. Using tessellation allows you to get much more details without having to load detailed models.
