When you're at work, focus on your work. Problem solved..>.>
XI Didn't time limit every last instance Either, instead they treated it as just another Zone, with the Timer Starting at the Boss Fight and im cool with that. I'd be to preoccupied with that Mini castle or dragon trying to eat me, to sight see anyway
But even with timers as they are in 1.0 currently, you still have time to do that. What else are you gonna do, have a picnic after clearing a room of mobs?
I don't really understand why ppl defends so much SE.
If they remove timers, they need more technical resources?
They need more money to upgrade their server farm?
I don't care. I just want the best experience from a p2p game.

Speedruns are the problem, not the timer..also just leave the dungeon open world and every problem is solve with "skipping" things.
It's not a matter of defending SE. A few vocal elitists prefer everyone to be pressured by timers and having less fun in order to be able to wave their epeen boasting on how fast they are at completing the dungeon, ignoring 90% of its contents in the process.
I want to go afk without pressures, i want to explore, i want to take screenies. I want party on.
Why should i be limited? And this is a P2P game.
I just want freedom.
No offense, but your only reasoning seems to be:This, and i've explained my examples/experience.
I have a static of old friends from the time of XI, one of them in the daytime plays from his shop.
When a customers enter in the shop he have to go afk many minutes..
What happens if we are close to the final boss with poor time left?
What if i have to go to dinner or lunch while in dungeon?
What if we arrive at the final supermegahard boss "X" and we want to try only him?
When the time ends you have to rush again the whole dungeon to try it again?
Timers are simply silly, no other games have them, ask yourself why? SE it's so special?
SIMPLY THERE IS NO REASON TO HAVE THEM.
"Timers should not exist so that I can screw around more and incur no penalty."
Moreover, trying to play FFXIV and run a store or go to dinner is a personal problem.
Why are you ignoring the reason for having them? I've personally considered how it may be beneficial to not have them, but those benefits are outweighed by the benefits of actually using timers.
I'd personally prefer they remove timers that count down until we're removed from the dungeon. Timers that count up to track our time are fine though.
I just think having a time limit in the dungeon makes it less about difficulty and all about time. Then we get all these strategies where you just run through and ignore half the enemies or find the most efficient place to gather only those necessary to kill.
I'd rather have a dungeon that is difficult for reasons other than time limits.
