I really dont get it. They release information on companies but completely leave out what exactly they are.... all we know are a back story.... kinda lame imo. They should have told us what they were along with the story.

It's called marketing, give away enough to cause speculation and discussion but not enough to give it all away, the boards are full of discussion about the companies so it seems to be working. We will get the rest of the info in time I would say 90% of it just before the release of the companies patch.

Even though you can't prove its not a Roegadyn you'll just stand on a box and yell its an Elezen?

The Nose and Ears are not Elezen based. The Hair IS Roegadyn Based so is the Naming convention. Elezen do not spell their names that way, Roegadyn Do.

This is exactly what I mean. They said that they will release more information about the Grand Companies just before patch 1.17 hits. That is exactly what they did. They never said they would exactly tell you how the whole Grand Company system was going to work. That was made up by you and other players .... Yes I was a bit disappointed too when I saw that there was almost no information, but I didn't expect the new page to explain everything anyway.

You guys expect too much while by now everyone should seriously understand how Square Enix works.

The whole negative attitude towards Final Fantasy XIV and Square Enix is because the expectations are insanely high ... it is not fair, since Square Enix can never live up to those expectations in such a short time.

But there was literally, no information. The information they gave us tells NOTHING about how they work.

Who's angry and What information? Just a bit miffed that they pulled the good old fashioned political two step again by telling us about it by not actually telling us about it. I have people who are not playing wondering about the company system just as much as we are. now i get to tell them "well that page went up and we still know absolutely nothing".

Now if some of this was not actually going live today i would be angry.

I'm not even sure companies are being introduced in this patch due to the delay because of the problems in Japan. I'm not sure why you're so upset...
