Believe it would be this patch. Unless they are inconsistent. It wasn't listed in the Patch 1.17 Outline (04/12/2011), but that also specifically said it was a "brief outline".

I believe it is this update today. Otherwise they wouldn't bother with this teaser.

I think today will be the day i find the will to log back in Maybe find a living Linkshell while I am at it and make friends who actually play haha.

Am I the only one excited that SE chose Raubahns name as a possible throwback to the XI Immortal Lions leader; and now hes the Ul'dah Grand Company leader of "The Immortal Flames"?

Did you miss the dev tags in the post the other day? Dev tag 1003 is for Grand Company quests. Exactly why they're teasing it ~12 hours before it goes live.

There was a hint though, the dev tag [1003], from the very first line. Look it up, it mentions companies. That's what everyone's hyped about.

I know that but the tag does not introduce the companies, it is only about 'Public company quests'
probably some intro quests or something

Thats the impression I got from it as well. Even so, still excited to at least get the ball rolling.

I think good ol Merl is a Roegadyn female as well. As well as Kan, leader from the Twin Adders, is a female of the summoner kind of breed like from the Gridania storyline. (We have only seen males of these so far and they only seem to be young boys.) Then there is Raubahn from the Immortal Flames that looks like a Highlander, in my own opinion.
