SE could have put more effort into making the relic free giveaway more amusing for the community without offending the players who spent time obtaining them like giving the free relics funky noises or making them weird colours, the possibilities were there.

I can't see how people who earned their relics would be offended, considering they'll actually still have their's in ARR.
