Yet official word states they moved resources, not cancelled anything. So there is validity to the rumor as we had official word of this long before that rumor even popped up. The only rumor specifically regarding versus XIII was the one about it being cancelled, which they officially debunked.

The rumor doesn't say they moved resources. It says they moved the whole team, which not only isn't realistic, but also contrasts with official statements regarding the fact that work on Final Fantasy Versus XIII is continuing.

I don't give a damn about trying to make a rumor credible or not, but you and others need to realize that the possibility that this game will have a summer release is higher than you want. There have been delays and no dates given for anything, fact.

As a matter of fact, I can't care the less about the release date. My pile of games to play is enormous, and it only grows with games I have to play for work.

What is ludicrous is the rest of the rumor, and when a rumor includes a ludicrous part, the whole source is deprieved of any credibility.

ARR will be released when it'll be released, but it's obvious that the author of this "rumor" knows no more about it than anyone of us.

FF Versus XIII is on hold and all staff have been moved to FFXIV: A Realm Reborn until it gets released.

Is true. For someone who pulled the "if you know game development" card, you sure don't seem to know what resources are.

Btw, dd you know? Akihiko Matsui worked on both FFXI and FFXIV at the same time? It's pretty shocking that there's people working on multiple projects at once...

Especially when SE releases a report stating specifically why things got affected..but eh, let's ignore the reports. "Work continues on Versus XIII"..yet they're still working on XIV as well...how did that debunk the fact they moved resources, per Square Enix's words? Something the rumor basically reflected?

That's exactly why the "cancellation" rumor even started, because of the moving of resources to XIV lol. They debunked that Vs XIII was cancelled, but they ADMITTED they did pool resources towards ARR.

So there remains validity, whether you want to admit it or not.
