why? because they can and want...
Oh man I thought this was a forum and instead I seem to have found my way into a private argument that doesn't concern me.... I'll just let myself out...
may have something to do with the fact that we are actually playing on the 2.0 servers now using the 1.0 client.I think the bigger question is why are they taking our characters down in the first place - they're not even in alpha, and they plan on reviving the servers in a non saving state.
Seems like we could have played a few more months before even bothering to switch into beta.
Eww, lets not disgrace the servers with 1.0. SHUT HER DOWN. :P
(Just want to play till beta happens if that is going to happen soon then all is cool, but SE shouldnt offer us too much alone time to find our sanity)
I found this quote from RPGamer website this morning. It was from a recent interview with Yoshi. It wasn't part of the actual interview just a footnote at the bottom of the page.
"RPGamer would like to thank Naoki Yoshida and the PR team helping Square Enix for arranging this interview. Stay tuned for more information as we near the 2013 release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PC and PlayStation 3."
Are they hinting at a 2013 release? Do they know something we don't?

In the time it takes to complain in this thread, you could have accomplished whatever the few hours of time zone difference you didn't account for would have taken from you
