Some quickies from the French forums:

- Free Companies will be available from Launch

- Details for dying aren’t available, but rest assured that currently dye-able items will also be dye-able in ARR

- Gear bought with dungeon tokens will have lesser stats than dungeon drops

- Residential won’t be there at ARR launch

- No date fixed for iOS / Android authentificator, but it is in Naoki Yoshida’s planning

- It will be possible to use a USB keyboard with the PS3 version

- You will have to manually go down your mount to talk to a npc

If it's true that the market wards won't be there at launch, it suggests that we'll have another system of buying and selling items in addition to the wards. I could see them creating something similar to an auction house, while separately overhauling the markets system to create something more unique. Yoshida has indicated that the markets would be a lot different in 2.0. Maybe markets won't be the principal means of buying and selling, but will offer a different experience from the auction house/trading post/brokerage.

In any event, I doubt that the dev team would release ARR without a means of buying and selling. Though such a move wouldn't be unprecedented--FFXI didn't have a working auction house at its Japanese launch in 2002--I doubt that Yoshida's team is planning to repeat that kind of scenario. We'll probably have at least one means of buying and selling at launch, but it might not be markets.
