Masamune.
Just look at the server people, they're all in the same shell.
Edit: actually maybe not. Still please don't rise to obvious trolling.

999 = 99. You don't lose anything, the economy will adjust properly after a short time of inflation. They made the value of gil higher and reduced the bigger number to smaller. I know you Spring and know how frustrating it can be but look at the facts the whole economy as a whole is dropping by 90%. That being the case means you lost 0 gil. Literally 2.0 gil is worth more than you 1.0 gil. The glass isn't half empty it is half full. :PWhat stops them from doing it again?
"7. All gil currently held by players will be reduced to 1/10 of current values."
Wow, so people who worked for 999 million will get dropped to 99 million? Sound fair? You know how long it would take to farm that much money, how much work, time, concentration, focus, and effort? Too much to even fathom.
What's next? Take away my gear, my character, my levels? This is ridiculous. I can see if we all played with the new ps3 players, but we will be with the old players, who have more than enough money with no complaints.
Eventually all the prices will be back to how they were. This is what it is like in EVERY online game.
I have 0 crafts and 0 gathering professions. I literally have no income, I had a nice chunk saved, not spending money until 2.0 came out. I have been saving since day 1 of the announcement. I knew the game would be a waste of time to play. Now look at it? All my dedication, gone...
Square enix, if this happens and you follow through. Ill be very disappointed. I have buying and rebuying remade games from your company for decades and I plan on doing so for decades to come. If I lose all my hard work. I might have to move to mistwalker. Hironobu sakaguchi would never let something like this happen. He knows how a final fantasy game should be made.
If no one can afford things, I guarantee it'll lead to more people buying Gil from online stores.
Oh and btw...retarded ideas like this only affect the poor. It never hurts the rich.
Thank you for your time, and I hope the Devs read my plea.
Yoshi, you're a badass director but this is uncalled for.
Man up and tell the Devs you want that idea scrapped!
Lol not necessarily. :P Masamune is just very populated.

Masamune's the troll server now?![]()
It's troll server when Agoven isn't posting LOL. I thought max gil was going to 99,999,999...everything is dropping 1/10 EVERYTHING. So um yeah...no problem from anyone. If you don't understand the meaning of everything and calling it unfair you need to go back to grade school...rather kindergarten.
I am a little guilty of this myself - it's psychology demoralizing, visually, to see the millions of gil rendered to a couple million or several 100,000s. Just have to accept it and move on.
So glad I have two of the three Land at 50 along with two crafting classes. Hopefully it shouldn't take long to get back into my millions post-2.0.![]()
ya there is no sense crying about it SE is gonna do it no matter what so better get use to it.
Items will not sell for more than people are willing to pay. Period.
With everyone's gil capped, people are going to be (or at least I'd think) a lot more careful and conscientious of how much they're spending. Market competition will take over, just like it always has in XI and just like it does now in XIV, and people will have to price their items competitively in order to sell them.
As has been said already, if people are seriously going to try and dramatically over-price their items in 2.0, it'll be no different than it is now... those over-pricing their goods will be left sitting on them, while those who price them more competitively will move theirs. I can say this because that's exactly how it has always happened.
The player base will determine the value of any given item based on what they are willing to spend. Some will be willing to spend more, and they'll buy the higher priced ones. Others won't and will wait for the prices to come down. Just like they always have.
The 1/10th thing will make absolutely no difference. We'll just be working with smaller numbers.
People are, as usual, looking for something to find an issue with, blowing it way out of proportion and then declaring a 3 alarm fire. It seems "go big or go home" is the creed around here when it comes to finding things to complain about.

People need to stop looking at it like, "Oh shucks, my gil is disappearing. QQ" and need to start looking at it like, "My gil is worth more and I can hold more gil. ^^"
Gentlemen... BEHOLD!
You know what's SO hilarious about all this.. It's like everyone expects the game to be the same.. All the "HOT" items ppl go for now, ppl still will be HOT later on... why bother adding new areas & dungeons when ppl are stuck in the past? Remind me again if Iphone 2g and Iphone 5g are same price? Oh yeah a thing called progression. Wait what was that? Nbdy wants ur piece of crap old gear anymore? *shocked face*
Rare/EX owns joo?
