"7. All gil currently held by players will be reduced to 1/10 of current values."
Wow, so people who worked for 999 million will get dropped to 99 million? Sound fair? You know how long it would take to farm that much money, how much work, time, concentration, focus, and effort? Too much to even fathom.
What's next? Take away my gear, my character, my levels? This is ridiculous. I can see if we all played with the new ps3 players, but we will be with the old players, who have more than enough money with no complaints.
Eventually all the prices will be back to how they were. This is what it is like in EVERY online game.
I have 0 crafts and 0 gathering professions. I literally have no income, I had a nice chunk saved, not spending money until 2.0 came out. I have been saving since day 1 of the announcement. I knew the game would be a waste of time to play. Now look at it? All my dedication, gone...
Square enix, if this happens and you follow through. Ill be very disappointed. I have buying and rebuying remade games from your company for decades and I plan on doing so for decades to come. If I lose all my hard work. I might have to move to mistwalker. Hironobu sakaguchi would never let something like this happen. He knows how a final fantasy game should be made.
If no one can afford things, I guarantee it'll lead to more people buying Gil from online stores.
Oh and btw...retarded ideas like this only affect the poor. It never hurts the rich.
Thank you for your time, and I hope the Devs read my plea.
Yoshi, you're a badass director but this is uncalled for.
Man up and tell the Devs you want that idea scrapped!
If you've bothered to read anything about this you wouldn't have posted.
There is a really good reason as to why they're lowering the gil..

HOW could we know enough when the game isn't even announced? Did YOU know about every single economic information about vanilla FFXIV before it was released? And what is the points of knowing that information now? It will just cause an even greater scaling of prices as people rush to NPC all the useless things and horde all the valuable ones.
Not to mention this isn't data that can be stored, as it will all ultimately be determined by the community. SE can't force this mindset for us to properly get 'prepared' for the economic re-shuffling; the only way we can is by saving our gil. Which SE have told us at least two times.
There are times where less information is better. Some questions are better left unanswered. And the knowledge of how the economy of ARR will work is one of them.

You're not losing anything, all they're removing is one decimal, from EVERYTHING. Airships, Chocobo rentals, NPC costs, etc. I agree, seeing an airship cost 5000 is ridiculous. 500 is a much better number. Same with chocobo rentals. It's something that you see in other FF games so they're trying not to give us retarded numbers to work wit-
Jesus christ why are trolls such shit lately?
This shit again? I need Rokien....

this thread is bad
and you should feel bad

There is a very easy way to test your theory right now. Go into your bazaar and multiply all your selling prices by 10. See if that helps you sell those items. If you want to try the other way around ? Just go to McDonald, order a big mac, hand over 25$ and tell them to keep the money. Do it a couple times to see if it sits right with you and your wallet." The effective purchasing power of your savings will not change."
Doesn't change the fact that players will be keeping the same prices. They won't start new cut by tenth prices on the ah/wards. I get the the vendors and everything. People are greedy and will sell everything at the same prices before. They will not lower when being sold from person to person.
If that doesnt change your mind, well go ahead and rage quit. In fact, i think you're describing your own behavior in that quote. You are the kind of person that wont be adjusting its prices and probably buying at 1.0 price too.
I will gladly undercut you by 90% while laughing at your shouts (which will most likely span weeks and months) because paying 5% tax on 10 times the actual value of an item would ruin your purchasing power.
