Why must chocobos be our companions

And seriously, some of us are tired of chocobo. Maybe we're not diehard final fantasy fans like rest of you guys, but it seems kinda lame...

Let's not start an argument... But not for nothing... It's a final fantasy game and you're gonna come on the boards and try to validate that final fantasy aspects of a final fantasy game should be changed, and then say what I quoted. Man... That's flat out just being self centered. Sorry.

#2 Of all the FF games i've played I've never had a chocobo "companion"
#3 Not my idea, but some posters have the question "so what about pet classes?"/ "will i be gimp w/o a chocobo companion"
#4 Yes i'm self centered, i've alrdy been told to leave the game LONG ago. The lil FF fanboys are so narrow-minded. Then they wonder why more ppl don't join the game.. Maybe cuz we're not all diehard FF fans.
#5 I'm glad to be a FF outcast, I wouldn't wanna be associated with the diehard fans.
#6 Sheaths > Gameplay, Chocobo companion > game depth, Grass > soundtrack, etc etc...

Along with the boundless ego of all the other players who skip/criticize this game. Am I rite? I haven't played FFXI in a while.. how are the chocobo companions doing there? Last time I played they never had any, is that working out well?

ffxi isn't the only ff out there, as you can see from my previous post. and ffxi' npc is really the same thing with a chocobo skin
