no, march of 13 if were unlucky. Remember, yoshida never promises anything he cant hold, and in the last letter, he promised they would do their best to make it in time, and in time is mid-end of desember.

Alpha was supposed to have started by now, so yeah..March 2013 if we're lucky, later on in the summer 2013 most likely. As of now the only solid information we have is:

"Sometime after the worlds go down on november 11th the first FFXIV windows alpha test will begin." Which if you remember is the Japanese only one as well.

This sounds more realistic if not pessimistic. But i would prefer to be a pessimist cause there will be fewer surprises in life and the surprises you get are good ones! lol, joking aside i would prefer they take longs and released a more flushed out and polished game than rushing to meet a deadline they set for themselves almost a year ago. we all saw what happens when you push to meet a deadline, you get an overhaul of the game and the director "steps down".
