Clarification on Relic Quest in 2.0 in regards to Speed Runs

speed runs suck this is a MMO, not a racing game.

what about being an MMO excludes it from having elements where efficiency is key? players in every MMO ever made find ways to be more and more efficient at whatever they're doing. and it's not like the entire endgame is built around speed runs. nobody is forcing you to get all 5 chests every time. you don't fail the run if you don't do it in under 17 or 25 minutes.

do you somehow feel entitled to all 5 chests every time? that the conditions of popping one or more chests should more closely cater to your preferences?

they also need COMMENT about how they are going sort the rate &/or way the seals drop in hamlet, 46 hours GAMEPLAY TIME @ grid & no seals to show for it, getting close to the same amout of play time @ uldah.

You do realize you need to speed run CC/AV to even get a chance at the good shit, right? We're not talking about the relic speed runs, we're talking about regular speed runs that are damn near required if you want to see darklight.

"We'll monitor the rate in which Relics are being completed then go on from there" or something to that effect.

Speed runs suck not only here but in RPGs in general.

I hope the rebuilt battle system will allow for more strategy and diversity in battles so that they can reward smart playing instead of speedruns.

It also kills exploration and affects dungeon designs in a way that makes them less locations and more shallow mob tunnels.

Yeh, Im pretty sure they said that speed runs are being taken out, and if you do do them, then its not for any rewards but maybe an achievement.
