I'm right there with you Nel. I haven't even participated in the Atomos event yet, mostly because I'm doing other things. I heard about the "exploit" (that term's still up for debate) from an LS member shortly after the event started, and I just shrugged my shoulders and went off playing my other game. Sure, I could have taken advantage of it, but I took the moral high ground and decided not to.

It's the blatant "you're all explotiers, wah wah wah" attitude, which unfortuantly floods these forums. You should get some head and shoulders for that scalp by the way

It's a lousy attitude to call people who did it "cheaters" when SE has noted themself that they knew people would make money that way and apparently were okay with it, but didn't anticipate how much they'd make. SE hasn't called it an exploit, a cheat or any other negative label, and they're the one who sets the rules. What gives Nel or anyone else the right to say otherwise?

Nel chose not to use that method of making money? Great. Good for them. Others chose to do so.

Also, as I mentioned in another thread, don't get angry at them for making the money. The money itself harmless. It can be spent in any number of ways - on repairs, gear from NPCs, buying gear, items and materials at reasonable prices from people who aren't abusing the economy, etc - and those people do exist.

Get angry at those who are inflating the economy by charging ridiculous prices for things - they'd be doing that regardless of how they earned the money.

Hell, people were charging ridiculous prices on stuff in this game even months ago. This isn't something new. I returned to the game some months back and was trying to start a new class. I couldn't afford anything on the MWs 'cause it was all up in the 100,000s. Funny thing is, I don't recall all this outrage over it back then.

Be angry, by all means. I'm right there with ya where the inflation is concerned. Just direct the anger at the right people.

Your grouping everyone with over 100mil into the same category and assuming they all exploited to make money their money. If we go by your solution then i would have to lose money because others decided to take advantage of a mistake SE made. Also SE was well aware of what was happening, the first exploit thread showed up days ago, if they can ninja patch clusters, they could of easily fixed this too. Plus there are far more easier and quicker legit ways to make money in this game and easily reach over 100mil, should those people also be punished. I'm sorry but I'm not in favor of a solution that punishes me for the actions of others.

AMEN! I usually sit around 60mil doing LEGIT things, so far the onlything I exploit out of Atomos is anima, and that's because I'm lazy and dont like riding on a chocobo!~
