That's really one of the biggest issues I'm having with the game right now. It seems like they're rushing to meat deadline. The game is bare bones standard as far as features go, we're getting under developed trailers to try to bring hype without providing much to grab onto (might even deter with how poor this latest one was), visuals have been shaved down without being redeveloped beyond the new engines basic lighting capabilities, and it's supposed to be out in only a few months.
I don't want this game to make the same mistake twice, but the way things are developing, it seems like that's the direction we're speeding towards.
On a serious note: I know how you feel, but we can't really do much here. We'll have to wait until we have a hands-on experience of 2.0 to truly judge it.

It just echos the 'but its a beta' excuse we(including me), tried to use when the game first came out. And I won't be doing that again. I will make sure Square hears and understands my concerns this time, even if it is premature, because I'd rather take comfort in the knowledge that I did my best to help rather than just sit and hope they get it right. That would just be giving them the excuse of 'But you should have told us what you wanted' like Capcom did with Legends. I know Square isn't Capcom, but I sure as heck won't give them the opportunity to be. I will not be made the bad guy by the company I pay.
It's less than half a year, which I consider small. Especially for game development. If they can pull it off, fantastic, but I have my eye on them this time.5 months is not a few by my phrasing, sorry. It's closer to half a year...plus, we don't know if it may get pushed back...more than once I've heard them say "We rushed last time, so we don't want to make that mistake again". I think that means they are prepared to push it back. Or not, idk
