That page first had ps3 now they changed to pc.


Even jp side of the forum people confirmed it shows ps3 trailer but last post by kristina_carton saying same thing that the site now changed that ps3 part to pc....

Have you known Reinheart to lie? That is the real question here. No Reinheart just doesn't "make-up" stuff when he translates, and he does that to the best of his ability, Your lucky to even have a translator, outside of SE to tell you stuff that would take the Mods 3 days before posting the same stuff.

I wonder if peoples attitudes will change when/if SE tells us this is PS3 footage.

I find it increasingly difficult to read posts on this forum because of people's instant negative reactions to everything that is given/shown to them without really any thought at all.

It doesn't take much thought to give an educated guess that this is not PC footage:
1.) All of the trailers with game footage in them that came before this one looked spectacular game wise.
2.) Live demonstrations of the game at various venues up to this point have reinforced the great graphics. (otherwise people attending would have made mention of how terrible the game looks long before this trailer).
3.) People attending the event also feel that it is most likely PS3 footage because Yoshi-P said that PS3 footage would likely be shown at TGS.
4.) PS3 is 6 years old and is lacking compared to PC's of it's time and obviously those of current day tech. Just because it can make single player games look fantastic does not mean it can maintain the same graphic quality while dealing with everything else in an MMO world.
5.) The team has stated several times that the PS3 has been a challenge to put ARR onto while trying to maintain the quality visuals we are used to now.

I realize not everyone is exactly in the loop when it comes to understanding how PC's/Consoles function. I am not all knowing when it comes to them either though building PC's is a hobby of mine.

So let me ask this:
Other than the fact that it has not been officially stated, what makes some of you feel that this is not PS3 footage?
Why would the graphics suddenly go to hell compared to what's already been shown if this is a PC version?(Ignoring the idea that they ran it on low graphic settings).

Let's try thinking rather than freaking out for once. I already see steam coming out of ears.

Depends what they on there settings for the PC Version, however at least the PS3 version looks amazing for what it looks like.

The only bad thing is that PS3 will ultimately limit what they can do with the PC version.
It's the same issue with FFXI and PS2. They are dropping PS2 support for their next expansion on FFXI.

That's one of my main concerns about XIV as well, I know you can pull out better graphics on the PC but due to PS3 memory limitations they have to make sure whatever new content/feature they add will work on the PS3 and that could hold those content/feature release or only release downgraded version to make it work when they could of done much better. Worst part is if they do release for PS3 as planned they can't suddenly say on first expansion or 2nd expansion year/two later saying oops now you need PS4 with more memory so all you PS3 owners too bad, I'm sure they have to keep the game working on current PS3 settings for a while.
