Hmm... I have yet to see the video... but do you think it is possible the trailer itself is the problem and not the game play? IE. The trailer was not seen upon final save and was accidentally saved in wrong format etc .

I know it's unlikely, but isn't it more unlikely that they would actually record choppy gameplay?

I think this is definitely the case, considering some of the scenes from this trailer and the previous ones were identical, and only the new one has frame rate problems.

I agree with gramul. We've waited for so long for this game that I'd rather wait for them to make it properly than to rush it out with the environments looking like that among other things. This is the world I'm willing to spend years in. Pushing back the release now is utterly trivial compared to the bigger picture.

But there's also the impending release of ps4 that cannot be completely overlooked by SE.

Sigh, just seen the trailer and if I was SE I would be ashamed to put that up especially if that's ps3's first footage. That lag where the dragoon does dragon dive reminds me of being in Dragon's Aery with 200 people spamming for claim on Nidhogg Pop.

I'm really surprised it even got approved to be showned in the first place. Even if some of you guys are fanboys you can't deny how horrible that lag is. Pretty embarrassing :/

And I agree with y'all, I don't want them to repeat what happened at launch, either. I'm just saying that we need to wait until we actually are in Alpha to make any serious concerns. This is the first footage we've seen for the PS3 version anyway. And honestly, it isn't all that bad. Sure, it definately needs to be tweaked, but that's what Alpha/Beta is for.

Starlord, why do you try to white knight everything SE does? You can clearly tell its not PC footage. Alpha or whatever you call it doesn't change how it runs. The graphics are not that bad, however that frame rate is disgusting.

Hope this is a Aprils fools joke, oh wait!

..why would SE release a promotional trailer depicting the game at this quality? Furthermore, when we will get a new trailer, and not one that consists of mostly just mixed-up already released footage?

I want them to release the full CGI trailer! :O i hope it explains well why the 12 aren't been summoned and instead we are frozen 5 years in time... about that trailer ill have to finally be negative lol but i didn't like the editing at all that's about it

Unless the video has been upscaled for the gameplay portions, I doubt it's from a PS3 given that the video is 1080p and the word so far on the PS3 version is 720p.

Star you can give out opinions but you can't take them? It's one thing to be optimistic but you sir are a fanboy which is fine(read most of your threads/comments). But when people voice their concerns that's all their doing. I'm playing this game as an average gamer, I have no ties to any other game currently but this one and I rarely post. When something concerns me, I comment and give my personal opinion just like during alpha and beta 2 years ago. I don't want that mistake to happen again where we all say "yeah it's just alpha" and hope something amazing comes from it.
