Well elementals are pretty docile unless you fuck up..yet there were still a fair bit that'll wreck you for the sake of it.
People play DoL? -- The thing is, high level mobs in this game don't need a long tether because they one shot you. You could take hits in XI and normally lose aggro or zone without much of a problem.Yep for DoL -- You could trick out some mobs like Yagudos when trying to get the crest or a coffer for example that's usually good timing, here it doesn't matter as much since monsters that may aggro you will be yanked back almost seconds afterwards. The one thing that was annoying though was when everything could range attack you. Everything, it didn't matter if it was a mamrot or a crab, it had a range attack.
Goblins are intelligent beings that trade with other races, why should they be aggressive?
Don't get me wrong, it's fun when you come up against a mob that you fear but I think there are better mobs out there for that job than goblins.![]()

always looking for good people.
From what my good sir?
Even in XI if you mess with something too high level it will asuredly one shot you. Of course if you were 75 not many things were much higher than you. Currently we have monsters that are 50 levels higher than we are.
Mobs should have longer tethers and better Agro AI mechanics come back (They were actually easier to avoid if you weren't stupid) but not be such high levels until we have content that has a need for a monster being such a high level. Level 70 should be as high as monsters in the wild should go, enough to be a good deterent in a way of "You should not be here" yet being reasonable enough that it's not utterly mind blowing.
But really if your getting agro from anything that isn't True sound, then you just aren't being carefull I'd enjoy if Goblins came in agressive and passive types I see no reason why they should ALL be agressive or un-agressive. Hell even have some Amaljaa and Ixalii and Kabolds that are living in peacefull settlements away from the established tribes perhaps?
You know some guys just looking for food in the wilderness and you happen to come in and ruin their days...(And their childrens...think of the children)
I took down an Air Elemental before as a THF20...fight took 5 minutes >_> And yes, I soloed it because I needed Wind Crystals for crafting at the time. Elementals in FFXI were a pain. They float by you but as soon as you use magic, they were like "!!!" and got onto you like flies on poop. I like it that the elementals on this game don't have high defenses towards weapons and magic is the only way to get rid of them. The elementals are more like spirits, which they are and how they are in real life (I watched Ghost Hunters last week and they were talking about Elementals IRL; and yes, they ARE real, it's just energy manifesting itself in nature."
No, goblins shouldn't be aggressive, as long as they're 80+ mobs with the level cap being 50
I would love aggressive goblins, it will bring the memories of the dooms, *aggros goblin near the beach* "Run run get to Selbina" *everyone dies*
I would love leeches that mass link again nothing more funny than seeing the BLM AOE at the oasis![]()
I don't think all beastmen should have to be aggressive. I think it would be nice to visit a friendly beastman city/village and do quests there. Maybe gain enough reputation with them to convince them to stop summoning their primal god or what not.
Stop summoning garuda!!
Why??
Its bad for our planet!
But she's hawt!
Ok you're right, how can I help?
