    (About the photo, I believe it was referring to the banks being payed not to fail like they already failed, I'm for Obama but I didnt take it personally - both parties spew up cash anyways lol).

    Tons of RPGs use infinite arrows and they do just fine. A lot of MMOs especially use infinite arrows.     A great many other games have done ammo buffs with great success. It's a good system, it works. It's also less messy than trying to switch ammo types during a real-time battle that's moving quickly. The only game I've seen pull this off is Monster Hunter but only because it has specialized controls for Gunners and even then it can get you killed.

    Well not only was it unfair to ranged players, it's an entirely useless mechanic. The only difference between arrows is the level. It's an needless mechanic that they're switching with one that works well.

    This isn't a shooter. Also shooters use ammo as a meaningful mechanic in the game. Arrows in FFXIV are not a meaningful mechanic.

GW2 for example.

    No, consumables are for min/maxing or that extra little oomf or that "Oh Shi-!" moment and should not be infinite. Arrows are an integral part of arc/brd damage and should be. Stop comparing them
