I hope that isn't something towards obamas spending, because that would be stupid, considering he has one of the lowest government spending especially if you compare him to that non president G Bush(bush didn't win the presidency).
Aww man now we are on politics. Such a huge can of worms.
Lets go back to arrows, animations, and grass please.
(About the photo, I believe it was referring to the banks being payed not to fail like they already failed, I'm for Obama but I didnt take it personally - both parties spew up cash anyways lol).
Tons of RPGs use infinite arrows and they do just fine. A lot of MMOs especially use infinite arrows. There's no point in them as a consumable, they have no special properties and there's no different types. We don't need them. Where "fantasy" needs to be is entirely subjective and FF has never really been heavily about realism.
A great many other games have done ammo buffs with great success. It's a good system, it works. It's also less messy than trying to switch ammo types during a real-time battle that's moving quickly. The only game I've seen pull this off is Monster Hunter but only because it has specialized controls for Gunners and even then it can get you killed.
Well not only was it unfair to ranged players, it's an entirely useless mechanic. The only difference between arrows is the level. It's an needless mechanic that they're switching with one that works well.It also leaves out a lot of other possibilities they could come up with. It's just pretty much tells me "yaaa, we think it's unfair that people have to buy arrows, we don't want you guys wasting gil! You guys already have millions, we don't want you to run out!"
Arrows were inexpensive and they were also not a pain to keep in stock either.
Oh you mean the inventory that's 100 spaces smaller than what we have now? Yeah, totally okay. /sarcasm"OH MY INVENTORY IS BEING EATEN UP BY ARROWS!" You can have 999 arrows in a stack, so you are only going to take up a few inventory spaces when you go out to adventure. Also, with the new system invintory shouldn't be a problem, especially if they are able to give your chocobo inventory space where you can store some of you're equipment and finds.
This isn't a shooter. Also shooters use ammo as a meaningful mechanic in the game. Arrows in FFXIV are not a meaningful mechanic.
Now people can min-max with weapons, gear, accessories, materia and character stats. I think we'll be fine.
Jk, those are all good responses, probably the best I've seen you respond to any of my statements.
Though, they might as well make all consumables infinite if they make arrows so.
Though, I still don't see the issue with us having arrows with different effects and being able to switch em out whenever. Not that I've seen, nobody complained about having to buy arrows, and to ME it makes the game a little cheesy/cheap feel to it. The games that do do this, have a very cheap feel to em. GW2 for example.

I would just like to say then that if it's realism you are wanting then you shouldn't be playing games to begin with go watch the news... that's about as realistic that you can get... because it's about *gasp* REAL THINGS!
I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
No, consumables are for min/maxing or that extra little oomf or that "Oh Shi-!" moment and should not be infinite. Arrows are an integral part of arc/brd damage and should be. Stop comparing themJk, those are all good responses, probably the best I've seen you respond to any of my statements.
