dash affects combat, jump doesn't. stupid example.
yeah okay captain 3000 posts. lietenant too-busy-posting-new-threads-to-actually-find-time-to-play-the-game.
Who said it does? I mean, you could use it in combat but when would that make any sense?
We have Swiftsong in the game now but nobody would ever dream of using it in actual combat, it's only practical use is instance speed runs.
Oh wait, you've never even played an instance in this game, sorry never mind.
You do know that people have more posts than me.... -.-;
Also why would I be playing the game right now when there is nothing to do. It is a very boring game right now.
Also also, I only really post when I'm at work WHEN I CAN"T PLAY THE GAME. I'm also at work more than I'm at home.
people don't use it in combat because YOU CAN'T, because you lose the buff the moment any mob takes an action against you or you take an action against a mob. have you even played this game before?
That was my point exactly (but thank you for stating the obvious), unless Yoshida & Co. are much, much dumber than we thought, the same exact thing would happen with this TP dash.
Well it is a different skill, and only targets yourself, so it might not be the same as swiftsong.
You have some serious rage issues man. You act like I'm trying to limit the air you breathe. Find something better to do with your weekend than work yourself into a tizzy and berate people.and you spam threads like other people spam jump, so
think about that for a second, champ
people are allowed to have differing opinions, but when said differing opinions are just rehashes of the same tired old thread/argument that's been made dozens of times before and cried about for 70+ pages before, it just starts looking stupid.
and i never said it was on the same level, i said they stem from the same basic line of reasoning. you're quite the moron if you can't look at the actual words someone says and consider their denotative definitions before flying off the handle with some irrational mindspew.
because, at root, the reasonings ARE precisely the same. and in case you're STILL having trouble processing, allow me to reiterate:
"i don't like that thing you're doing. it doesn't affect me whatsoever, but i have to SEE it and i don't LIKE that so you shouldn't be able to DO it"
and while we're at it, since you're so quick to play the DERP DERP REER RAWR WHARRGARBL CAN'T I HAVE MY OPINION card, consider your opinions like another person's jump. we'll put up with the eyesore of you posting your opinions if you put up with the eyesore of us jumping.
don't like jumping? want it limited or banned? then keep your damn opinions to yourself just the same.
i love how people always try to use broken logic to support an argument but can't see how awfully it contradicts their own position, or conveniently choose to ignore said contradiction as to pretend they don't weaken their own position as a result of said faulty logic.
how about this: you keep posting your dumb opinions about jump all over the forum just like everyone else, and if it bothers me i can just not read them. and when the time comes we'll keep spamming our dumb jump all over the game, and if it bothers you you can just look the other way.
deal?
My first post wasn't really that strongly worded. It was just a suggestion, which I thought was made politely. But now I'd like to see them restrict jumping just to piss you, and only you, off.
Have a wonderful day!
No thanks. Period.Sorry if this is a dead horse topic, but just a small request: I think it would be nice to see an energy gauge of sorts for jumps. Basically it would recharge over time (and quite quickly), but it limits people from bunny hopping, which to me always felt kind of silly.
Not sure how people feel about this, but if this gets enough support maybe we'll see this added? Who knows.
Edit: mistake about GW2-- the stamina gauge is used for dashing, not jumping.
just go jump over the fence and be happy >.>
