You realize that you could use your ps3 controller if you wanted, right? It's totally possible.

So sorry if this sounds like lame excuses but think of other people's enviromental factors before making assumptions

The thing is, you can make those environmental factors equal for both platforms. That's why they are lame excuses.

did you play xi? of course you needed to buy the disc to install the game but then you could have 2 accounts and not one

You can still do that- the only catch is you will always have to use the same account on each system(meaning account A will only be on the PS3 and account B will only be on the PC). But you could still play with yourself this way. Even in XI, you couldn't have the same account logged in twice on different PCs or PS2s.
