This is information I find really irritating because even though I don't actively participate with Japanese players, I rely on them for buying my wares. NA people are so damn stingy with what they buy.

That is correct, it's what players like antipika wanted in order to reduce lag.

And rightfully so. With the way devs want to go for boss fights/battles in general, Latency is a huge thing. Sure they can work around it, like they did with Garuda and Nael. But even those suffer from problems, and the dev team will never really be able to give us more challenging content, because they would have to work around the latency.

If they just abolished the package loss, I'd be fine with sticking on a Japan-based server, even if there was some minor lag.

It's a double-edged sword any way you look at it.

You are sorta dodging the point. Yes, the option is there for him to play with Japanese players. But he can also count on not being able to talk to many players unless he is fairly fluent in Japanese.

The reason people are upset is because they are losing something and now have to pick what to keep. No way around that. It's something they've had and they aren't in a great mood about losing it.

I think the current worlds are all in Japan, and they will stay that way. They will be making new ones for the other regions so no one has to move if they dont have to (Japanese players)

It doesn't change anything. If all NA/EU players move, then you'll be on a JP world eventually. Anyway, players are the one responsible of what they want.

NA/EU are still allowed to play on JP servers. Nothing prevents a whole LS to say "we will all play on this server" and try and accommodate to the latency. If you're fine about having latency, just gather on JP server. Your call.

But how many of the NA/EU people you play with do you expect to chose a server in Japan, when they have the option to not do that?

not many.. but thats prolly due the language-barrier.. if i would be fluent in japanese and would have many japanese friends, i would choose a jp-server.

I wonder what that means as far as the current worlds go then. Will the currently existing worlds be assigned to new data centers or will only new worlds be made for other regions?
