they could , but they don't have enough time for this .
This is the first time I've even questioned the devs and their plan for ARR. I don't want to run like they do in Elder Scrolls, and yet... that's what it looks like right now.
I was surprised when someone pointed out to me that "Hey-o, they've already removed the movements the OP is talking about." That's when I knew, and posted
Then someone else posted that not only is this for "Gameplay" when it comes to motions effecting battle, but the cost of processing stop motions in crowded areas would be too much for the game to play well on lower end computers which YoshiP has acknowleged is one of the goals of ARR.
Conclusion: Is removing the stop motion a downgrade? Yes, it could be considered a downgrade. However, as sad as that is to contemplate, it must be acknowleged that until the hardware of the average player catches up, ARR is going to aim for the largest customer subscription base.
Eventually, maybe the next FF MMO could do those kind of movements....
They need to get it out as fast as possible huh?
Sounds familiar.
And an option to switch them on or off would be out of the question? Then someone else posted that not only is this for "Gameplay" when it comes to motions effecting battle, but the cost of processing stop motions in crowded areas would be too much for the game to play well on lower end computers which YoshiP has acknowleged is one of the goals of ARR.
yeah they have to sacrifice somes things , no summoner job at the release and other things .
