I will assume it won't start again until around 7-10PM CST. I lean more towards the 10PM CST. If it starts at 10 then it will mean it is timed to accommodate JP time by start around 3 in the afternoon for them. If it starts near the 7 then would that make it something like a 16-21hr re-pop?

1. It's too hard, I can't faceroll it.
2. I'm not guaranteed auto loot for particpating.
3. It's too hard.

That's it, given the fact I can see hats everywhere, it's clearly not a bad event.

did this last night 5 drops but the claiming on it is terrible and a few people around that just leech the final killing blow rest of time they just stand there. The lag is stupid and would be better if each party can claim one mob instead of them all

I don't care how hard it is or how rare the loot is. I would prefer it if the loot was rare. It's terrible how unclear this event is and what you have to do to participate. I just spent 4 hours fighting these mobs and I don't even know if I was eligible for loot for any of it. There's been enough conflicting information to believe anything at this point.

Yep, I was incorrect. The hat and specs have been around for a while but apparently the item was not ingame until now. My bad.

Agreed. Since it's pretty difficult to fight the entire group with just 8, it would be much better for these elites to spawn separately around the area and on a 2 min respawn where people can coordinate who gets which pop next.

Actually, it would be nice for this to be in an instance a la Skirmish. It would lose the whole "community" thing to it, but I don't think anyone would care.

This. I think the main issue is that people don't know if they are eligible. Do you need to smack any elite just once? Be in the vicinity? Hit the Vanguard? Do damage? Heal? I participated in the event solo for about 90 minutes. Glad I did it once for the content, but what's really keeping me from trying again is that I am not sure if I was eligible for a hat.

The party members that get the killshot get the drop. Confirmed it yesterday. No screenshots, but a friend who was dead got the hat.
