I don't know why we as english-speakers even bother to post in this forum

Mareria kurafuto shisutemu is katakana would be like "materia crafting system"... So maybe they are talking about adding some kind of ff7 based crafting feature, with something similar to materia. ?? who knows lol
Because we speak english and as such we post in forums read by people that can understand what we say? Dunno about you, but to me it makes good sense.
God forbid having a MMORPG that isn't revolving around the north american fanbase! Not to mention the terrible sin of having a developer daring to post in a forum in his own time when it's two in the morning where he lives without having translators ready on call out of office hours to instantly translate his posts in three different languages
How dares he!

Honestly - they shouldn't post in any of the forums until the translations are up for everyone. It shows bias -and frankly it is pretty unfair
They post in the JP forums knowing some of us speak japanese, and some japanese speak english. Proven by the pre-ffxiv release era, our fanbase is quicker at translation than they can be. Bias is not even letting Americans or others play the game, like Dragon ball online or this awesome samurai game from 2006 :/, unless you can speak 3 languages or think of a faster way to relay information to people you should deal with it. - coming from a english/french translator who hates impatient people or people who throw around the word bias, thats just from law school.
Unfair? It's your choice to play a game that's developed by a Japanese team. It's not doctor's orders.
So they should withold information in their native language because someone that thinks videogames should always revolve around the western fanbase will feel neglected if he has to wait for the morning after to get a translation?
In 99% of the cases it's non-english speakers that have to wait for a translation. This time around is our turn to wait. Seems plenty fair to me.
while this is kind of true
Its probably because of this + yoshi wanting to get information out as soon as he can. They post in the JP forums knowing some of us speak japanese, and some japanese speak english. Yes but it was SE's choice to have world wide server's updated all at the same time. If they can't address JP, NA, EU all at the same time region lock the game like Korean games simple as that. It's fair to ask to be updated all at the same time the game is global after all and SE said they think that is a strong point of the community. So they really should update us all at once not just English and Japanese but French and German as well.Unfair? It's your choice to play a game that's developed by a Japanese team.
