I agree with OP. The animations where a stellar part of the game and it would be a shame to let them go.
Also, you guys really need to stop brushing off genuine concern on the games development as 'trolling' or 'non-issues'. It's way too defensive to Square, and can come off as fanatic.

Your face comes off as fanatic. I think nitpicking pre-alpha footage is pointless.
