CLASS > JOB.

Arcanist being a CLASS, but not like the normal SEVEN CLASSES. It is an ADVANCED CLASS and therefor is unlocked. Same with musketeer or whatever the other new class will be.

So I am saying you have your normal 7 classes to pick from when you create a character. To get the new two that will be added in ARR, you need to do a quest of some level - 10, 15, 20, 30, whatever it maybe, and then its unlocked and your free to level. Heck, even if the quest is level 10, then it gives you the weathered book. HELL. Even a level ONE quest to give you the book rather then it being "Oh go buy this for 1315 gil!" would be better.

TL;DR - Just add it so you need to do a freaking quest to get the first weapon to level it. After that I could give a flying... *AHEM* anyway, I don't care about it being normal then. That way, further weapons are crafted(And are "Requires level #/##" to use, but you needed to do the first quest to get the level 1 weapon.)
No I know what you're saying. No need to break it down ^_^. You're not understanding me. There is no advance classes that is what the jobs are. Where does Yoshida say that arcanist is an "advanced" Class? Why even bother adding in more crap like that when that's what the lvl 30 job quests are for? That's what I'm saying
