my question would be if we can determine the party setup for dungeon auto-group. who needs to auto group and be thrown into a group with 3 brds, 1 blm, and 4 plds

The system should be smart enough to determine at least that it needs x amount of tanks, healers and dps. How intelligent the DPS grouping system will be is another story though. I can see it now, 1 PLD, 1 WHM, 6 BLM XD

I think they need to be real specific on this and ask the community what kind of features they want on an important function like this one. They haven't really shown us anything about it yet among other things so I'm hoping the beta phase is the part where we will be able to provide functionality feedback that can be implemented quickly before the release.
Final Fantasy has never been a hard series, by all accounts is one of the easier ones difficulty wise, at times even brokenly easy. I don't think noobs will be a problem, more than the elitist that believe that anybody who joins their party should know exactly at what second each boss does what, some people will be new and will not know what X or Y boss does, so take 1-3 mins and explain at the start of the istance, really easy and saves a lot of problems :/IN THEORY content finder is a great way to get what you need done wothout waiting on people to log on. However i see it becoming another way to nubfish. Youre gonna be grouped with people more often than not who have no clue. I sicerely hope this doesnt happen because i want to use this feature.
This is Final Fantasy, not Call of Duty. It takes a little more skill and prep work to be a good player. Lets all x fingers it works out.
In one point in time, everyone is noob. You're no exception.Im hoping theres a way to flag ppl from other servers you know are good. Or have a sort of friends list for content finder, akin to something like yahoo messenger.
Since im already "wasting my time" i might as well do it again. Lets break it down Barney style:
Nub= a term to describe new,inexperienced people
I really hope i dont need to define the term fishing. That would just be sad /facepalm.
@ostia youre right about ff not being one of the hardest rpgs out there. The original Phantasy Star series was much less forgiving, just to name one. However, i wasnt comparing ff to other rpg's i was comparing it to other games with content finder-esque features, hence why i said call of duty. Reread my post that you so dilligently quoted.
@ andrien im sorry do i know you? Lol you trolls come outta the woodworks when you see an opportunity. Look elsewhere, especially when its someone on your own server. Yes, we were all noobs at one time, however there are some of us who dont want tanks in our party who have empty gear slots and what is filled is worse than af. Those are the pople i dont wanna party with and just like bobby brown said "its my prerogative".
Now cam we plz talk about content finder? I know i asked before......

Now wait a second, you're calling me a troll, and you agreed with my statement at the same time.. Look I have nothing against you, but now you're trying to hard to sound smart, and exaggerating.
If you're aware of all the details yoshi mentioned at gamescom, like for instance the 30 hours to get lv15 and to learn the basics, one would think that is a fair amount of time to pass the beginners level, and for whatever reason if you see someone under-geared, you can just oust and replace.
I don't care what server we're on, but common sense its so rare its considered a superpower.
