The trouble with behests

At the moment they can't implement a level cap without restricting people from getting the achievements. If you could bring down a players level to the behest level then sure but with 2.0 around the corner that won't happen either. Most level 50's will wait for you to hit the mob first unless they are a douche.

I've never had the pleasure of a 50 letting me claim in fact I had one chocobo in front of me just to claim the mob before I could. I guess I am slightly bitter. You can't blame me.

Yeah, that's exactly the kind of people I've had. I kept getting claim during one, and the person changed from melee to BLM just so they could oneshot stuff before I could reach it.

And the latest guy stood around and waited for me to die (because the difficulty was way too high after he joined), and then went and killed everything before I could make it back.

Any time I ran across a lower level when I was doing some of the behests at 50, I waiting for the other to claim before I killed, so the xp didn't get wasted. But even when I ask these people to let me get claim, many of them don't listen.

Move to a nicer server. 95% of the time I was doing them for achievements with other level 50's, them and me would always let lowbie get claim first and we didn't even have to talk, it was just understood.

Except you can't move servers until 2.0, and then at that point EVERYONE may be moving around, so who's to say which is a nicer server at that point? :/

Guess its a gamble. But with 2.0 no one will be doing behests anyways cept the ones trying to get the 1k or so behests achievement.
