why even have the "ATK" stat in the first place? why not just have STR?

what i really mean is why complicate things.

would save everyone alot of headachs (SE & the players) to just have tiered gear sets where the fundamental stats (defence, atk power, etc) would be withing set parameters relevant to the tier of the gear and if they want to mix things up a bit they can just have different sets with things like store TP or haste.. but within defined tiers, at least some kind of structure.
