You're right, let's just shut down 70% of the forum because we shouldn't ever listen to the players. Also close down all class discussions and anything specific to any one feature. Leave just General Discussion and Support. Delete all threads that make suggestions, they only make the game easy mode/WoW.

The devs should listen to what we're saying but take any suggestions we make with a grain of salt and decide for themselves what is best for the game and what is just people asking for things they want. Not all the devs play the game, we do. We are experiencing the direct impact of the changes they make and we see exactly how things pan out.

Ok, I was a bit too extreme, but yes, they should listen. They shouldn't change the direction of games just because of peoples complaints and what people want though. They should basically only listen to bugs or exploits and stuff imo. Not "THIS GAME IS TOO HARD!" "WE WANT EVERYTHING FOR FREE!"

@Elexia I haven't played with the new abyssea stuff, but from what I've been told it dumbed down and newbed the game up in even more ways. The game is basically the easiest MMO on the market and stuff like that. X_X Downhill since TOAU The ASA/ACP/MKE expansions were really fun, and the final bosses were great. I loved the difficulty in them, I guess that's not allowed though, everything needs to be easymode!

No I totally get where you're coming from. I would also like to see more challenge in the game, specifically in higher level content. The casual players may not need/want the best gear and they won't have to do the most challenging content because of that. The challenge should justify the reward, if you want something great you'll have to try hard.

I could solo the final boss of abyssea with an item from it >.>, even without it it's still not terribly hard.

What is this? Why do you turn around? Do you even have to? And you're spamming 1 WS with unlimited TP and taking like 0 damage from every attack...is this intended to be solod? That fight looked easier than a FF14 mission, just took longer ._.

I'm sadden by the current state that we are in.

It seems (to me) that the majority of americans have become lazy. No one wants to put forth any effort, we all just want instant gratification.

Our grandparents suffered through tough times, and because of this they had to work really hard to make a better life. A better life that we enjoy and have sacrificed nothing to obtain, it was handed down to us. I think this is part of the problem. It has created a generation of whiners that don't know how to do an honest days work.

I believe this carries over to the game. Everyone thinks they are owed something. No one wants to put forth any effort, they just want to be able to log on and instantly be able to be r50. The game is being dumbed down because no one wants to work for it, we just want our free handout (just like irl)

*When i say "everyone" I'm generalizing, I know that not everyone is like this. But it is my feeling that many are. Not trying to be an a-hole or troll or anything like that. I'm just a normal guy.

It absorbs damage when casting spells/using TP moves, the "brew" drink is basically 3 minute god mode lol. So it's not intended to be soloed, but with the drink anything in abyssea is soloable.

FFXI is definitely different, all from listening to it's playerbase xD

And it was better off when they didn't. CoP was fantastic when it came out. Now it's a joke, much like most of FFXI.
