I'm sadden by the current state that we are in.

It seems (to me) that the majority of americans have become lazy. No one wants to put forth any effort, we all just want instant gratification.

Our grandparents suffered through tough times, and because of this they had to work really hard to make a better life. A better life that we enjoy and have sacrificed nothing to obtain, it was handed down to us. I think this is part of the problem. It has created a generation of whiners that don't know how to do an honest days work.

I believe this carries over to the game. Everyone thinks they are owed something. No one wants to put forth any effort, they just want to be able to log on and instantly be able to be r50. The game is being dumbed down because no one wants to work for it, we just want our free handout (just like irl)

*When i say "everyone" I'm generalizing, I know that not everyone is like this. But it is my feeling that many are. Not trying to be an a-hole or troll or anything like that. I'm just a normal guy.

If the game came out a year later it would still have a lot of problems. The Beta was crap all that did was get ride of a few bugs. I'm surprised these were not fixed with the inhouse beta testing. It seems like they didn't even do that considering all the bugs in the game.

The game was in the works for 6-7 years or close to that. I'm just wondering when they actually started assembling all the different parts of the game together. I would say 6 monthe before the Alpha stage considering how bad everything was in the Alpha.

If he had focused on polishing off the game as it was designed back then, we might've seen a totally different outcome. Instead, we saw pointless changes to battle pacing, spells, MP amounts, etc.,
What specific differences in CB are you referring to so the people who weren't in it know what you are talking about.

And the pace of battle was way too slow back then. I saw the vids.

Devs, don't listen to him, he doesn't know what's good for him. I however know exactly what's good for me, so listen to me instead.

Limhirh, I tried making that argument earlier. People didn't like it and said that SE should have released the game as was and there was nothing that could be done about it.

Funny you should mention that. I've heard people talk about the more recent expansions of ff11 have gone over pretty well and people are going back to that game.

Obei, there's no discipline in the US anymore and there's too many things competing for a player's attention.

Yeah, pretty much completely right. It's really annoying, I want a challenge, I want to work for things, I want to feel like I accomplished something when I gain something. Right now, everything is handed to me, I felt more challenged playing WOW. WOW is DESIGNED for casuals and supposed to be incredibly easy, why is this game easier than that?

Almost everything I did in FF11 made me feel like I accomplished something, and those accomplishments lasted for years, because I would still use the gear, or still need access to the zones I unlocked, or still needed the jobs to be leveled, etc etc.

That's funny, since ToAU was directly in response to fans wanting "instanced content" and "More HNMs" and "Blue Mage" and "Gambler" and "Easier/faster exp" and "Better than zilart gear" and "Poppable NM system" and on and on, though I guess people wouldn't have an argument if they didn't ignore this.

TOAU also ruined that game imo. Since TOAU the game had been going downhill. This is proof listening to people is HORRIBLE, it just makes games easy and newb friendly. BAD!!! >_<

I find that Abyssea did far worse...but it's what people wanted afterall, since they complained the ASA/ACP/MKE final bosses were too hard lol..who knew a crystal could give people more trouble than an iron giant and dragon god.

Yeah what has N. Yoshida given us? Bigger mobs and 6 months of unfulfilled promises.
Wait just a little bit longer ...

Most people quit before level 20.
