I know a guy, he's a complete idiot, played EQ all his life and still does now.

He tried FFXIV, and when the reshuffle was announced, his opinion was: "Tanaka didn't know wtf he was doing."

That is the voice of an idiot. I guarantee you anyone here who has stated that this game's outcome is Tanaka's fault follows the same reasoning.

Tanaka was at a disadvantage anyway to begin with. If any of you saw this game during closed beta, it was significantly different than what it is now. He already had an idea, and the biggest mistake he could've made was listening to everyone who whined. I doubt that was even his decision in the first place also.

If he had focused on polishing off the game as it was designed back then, we might've seen a totally different outcome. Instead, we saw pointless changes to battle pacing, spells, MP amounts, etc., All of that was so petty. What's the point of playing a game if you're just going to decide all the rules yourself?

Kids today, all they want to do is play in a sandbox.
