will 2d grass kill ffxiv?

It won't kill it, but it surely won't help it. XIV is a game that needs everything to be perfect, and badly textured assets aren't helping.

And yes, there are plenty of redeeming features in the small details of XIV, does that mean I shouldn't point out my issues with something bad?

Is it really bad though? When I first saw the screenshots I didn't even notice the "bad" grass everyone seems to be complaining about. Hell I didn't even think twice about the grass until someone mentioned it and even then it really doesn't look like that big of an issue. Even after looking really hard at the grass I'm still struggling to really find much issue with it.

Also honestly, if grass is our biggest concern I think Yoshida did a great job with this game. Small details matter and I think the grass, as a small detail, is perfectly fine.

It looked a lot better in the actual gameplay video, but the screenshots with the pixelated shadows were pretty horrible.

Dude seriously? Who gives 2 shits about the grass come on...it looked awesome in the gameplay video and looked awesome in the screenshots...Christ man, do you want the blades to be broken when you walk over them? I am seriously in disbelief that there are people who are completely looking over the AMAZING differences from 1.0 to 2.0 like no animation lock, new zones, snow, jumping, fluid movement, no vanishing character when equipping items, CRAZY detail on everything (apparently not grass lawl...)

I hope the devs look at the grass threads and laugh or ban you lol...
