will 2d grass kill ffxiv?

Is it really bad though? When I first saw the screenshots I didn't even notice the "bad" grass everyone seems to be complaining about. Hell I didn't even think twice about the grass until someone mentioned it and even then it really doesn't look like that big of an issue. Even after looking really hard at the grass I'm still struggling to really find much issue with it.

Also honestly, if grass is our biggest concern I think Yoshida did a great job with this game. Small details matter and I think the grass, as a small detail, is perfectly fine.

It looked a lot better in the actual gameplay video, but the screenshots with the pixelated shadows were pretty horrible.

Stuff like this is already 2D...

Just look at leaves, grass etc in game currently and you'll see that it's nothing new -_-

As a fisher, I care little for the woes of virtual landscapers.

However, I will say that if the malm kelp isn't perfectly rendered using the very best in single player offline RPG graphic engines, I will ragequit and cancel my 72 alt accounts.

I have never in my entire 10 years of playing MMO's known a single person who has ever cared about the grass. I think it safe to assume the vast majority of players out there aren't bothered by this "bad grass."
