    lol, don't get me wrong I understand what you are saying, however I just hate the fact I wont have a chance to finish a collection of what may possibly be the only chance to get these items (There's been talk for awhile about the weapons being unobtainable after 1.XX is over, and I'm sure I've seen it said in an interview myself but cuz I cant find it anymore to confirm it, I'll leave it as "Speculation").

    The only real issue I actually do have is when all is said and done so far for 2.0 all we have are promises, they are reluctant to discuss or show anything yet, whilst at the same time reluctant to fix/resolve the RNG Issue from 1.XX Content that will be different/removed in 2.0.
    They want us to have faith in them, yet give us nothing but carrots on a stick, in game and in regards to 2.0 Info....I'm seeing no changes in direction at all so far myself

    I am a collector as well and all this talk about the possibility of weapons being gone in 2.0 has given me anxiety. Hamlet has monopolized all of the shells time and resources instead of focusing on other things due to the horrendous seal drop rate and trying to figure out a fair and equal way to distribute those drops.

    I am saddened if these weapons are discontinued, at least for Garuda. I feel that we should still have some sort of opportunity to gain them back, allow us to start a quest to obtain the remaining weapons, like the Trials of Garuda, 1 stage of trials for however many weapons there are. Once you complete the sages you get your weapons. I don't want it to be easy but I would seriously love to be able to have something like this so that those who may be a bit behind do not have to stress out about losing out on these pieces.

    In the end I am waiting patiently for that list of discontinued items, so that either it will confirm my fears or relieve them. /waiting...

    Well even if they didn't want people to just blast through it, they can increase the amount of totems/nuts it takes to get a weapon. As long as there is some sort of indication of progression after each and every kill, then people don't have a reason to complain.

    The problem is, none of you understand how to complain correctly. This game is almost exactly what people asked for, basically no cooldowns for dungeons, you want to do what you want, when you want, no questions asked. Thing is, that means bad drop rates, it just does, SE cannot and will not ever produce content fast enough to let you forever spam the same content and get 100% drops or even close to it.

    Your compaint should be that events like they were in 11 were not here. The majority of all events 11 gave you something, reguardless of what it was, something would drop.

    Example: Limbus

    Given, you dont just go and poof your decked out, but after you gathered a pop and kill ultima/omega you got 2-3 drops 100%

    Example: Ein

    Same crap, get all 9 rooms cleared, 3 days later do Odin and boom, you got something 100%.

    Example: Salvage

    You win a zone, boss 100% drops stuff (also, given, it was only the 25 pieces and you actually had to work to get the 35's which i know is like... a sin or something to most of you).

    Example: ZNM/Garrison/sky/sea (im sure im forgetting some)

    Basically, the final bosses and sometimes the bosses leading up the final fights, gave 100% of SOMETHING, but again, this is what the forum trolls have asked for. The content is easy, you can spam it, congratulations and enjoy your self-made hell and may you expect nothing better from 2.0 because your all doing it again.

    Do you feel superior now? It sure feels grand to generalize does it not? I never played Final Fantasy XI so I would not know. Low re-entry timers may be synonym to low drop-rates but again, and I am repeating myself, that does not mean that they could not implement other venues to obtain the drops. Since you seem all too enamored with a diminished re-entry timer makes those alternative methods also time consuming, just not purely based on luck.

    Amazingly all of those FFXI events you listed are the ones I enjoyed doing the most and had most fun doing, even if I got nothing out of it, the enjoyment was because someone out of the (Insert number) people you had with you eventually got something. Rewarded for putting in a bit of time for something is enjoyable and fun, and hell dunno about you but it was awesome seeing that THF's reaction when they got Corazza!

    EDIT:: Bah posted to early lol.
    The only thing is due to the whole debacle that was FF14 1.XX-around 1.18 there wasnt enough time to put in the content with similar systems to this, so the camparison is slightly like comparing chocolate and cheese :/

    First of all, you totally have a valid point. But, as to posting about your valid point, have you ever heard of sunk costs? Why even bring it up when Garuda weapons are better? The other ones are obsolete.

    Token based system with low drop rate chances would work.

    The issue with FFXIV is the gear isn't class specific. When there are only 8 pieces of loot that can drop from a dungeon that people really want, you can't make them 100% chance to drop. If, however, the gear was class specific, and therefore, there was more of it, this wouldn't be nearly as big of an issue. Not to mention, in dungeons, only the final boss drops the loot people want from said dungeon, so you're limiting what can drop even more so.

    Add more gear to the game. Even if they're just recolors of each other, up the drop rates a bit so things drop more often (although it may not be a piece YOU want). Make the gear more class specific when it comes to stats or even requires to equip it. Put in token systems so you can purchase gear of the same brand but not the same quality (For example, have the dungeons/raids drop +1/2 variants of gear you can purchase using tokens). Everyone wins on that one.

    Or how about increasing the drop rate slightly for each successfull win for each character up to a maximum cap.

    to recompense all who have beaten the primal for hundreds of times and still not receiving a primae weapon. because its unfair when i have beaten moogle for 20+ times getting no reward except dark matter.. and someone who defeats him for the first time receives a weapon drop.

    i think the success rate should be increased each suscessful run. (still with a maximum cap)
    but in the end the success rate for me should be higher than for someone who has beatin it just 1 time

    i'll just add my final comment on this...

    If these weapons are unobtainable in 2.0, then why the hell did you (SE) made us,
    with still no rewards yet waste our time trying?

    Increase the drop-rate & give us what we deserve for gods sake.

    If they are unobtainable in 2.0,....then why havent anyone told us anything yet?
    2.0 is coming closer & closer, and we still dont know how much time we got left to obtain these.

    I guess we're just given temporary crap "test-content" lately to keep us busy...
    thats just mean yo!

    Why even add stuff you gonna remove sooner or later?
    How is that even motivating anyone to keep playing?

    Finally got my first Ifrit's weapon after 16 runs, in those 16 runs, i got 1 Totem and 1 weapon. 21 runs of Moogles gave me 2 Mogblades and 1 Nut -_-
