When was the last time you saw a trailer commercial on T.V that showed gameplay?
Nowadays, the trailers are pure 100% CGI. A Real Reborn is heading that way if these 2 trailers are any indication.
You KNOW they are hiding something, they want to put a mask over the real gameplay because they know it's not up to the community's expectations.

And people celebrate this cancer? You're the ones killing both Final Fantasy AND video games in general.

Well they listened to us and changed the voiceover .... it still feels a little ... idk dramatic. And a lot of the CGI scenes are the same. Compare to the first one Link. Which do you think is better?

I think the new voice is better, but still a little out of place. And the first trailer had a lot more drama and tension, maybe in the storyboarding of the scenes or the music.

It was perfect and by the way I don't think they changed the voice over because we said anything about it because the voice over for the first video was just as good. Neither were out of place in the least, and fit very well with both videos especially since it captured exactly what they were aiming for. Both videos the adding of voice over made them build excitement and that they did even though albeit we all want a game play video not a theatrical one.

Also the first video really breathed Final Fantasy for me but a lot closer to the feeling of an Ivalice based FF. The second exuded it even more so and was brilliant. Though as someone mentioned the pacing was better in the first video though I believe the first video was a bit longer.

Sorry, video game trailers aren't "cancer" to the gaming industry -- over simplification and nickel and dimeing (DLC) is much more of a problem.

Seems like it was his feelings that lead to new trailer not the complainers. This decision was probably made way before the public got to give their opinions.

A fix? SE thinks because some twats complain they need to fix their trailers as well as their games? This makes them look extremely pathetic. This is supposed to be a proud company...

I also enjoyed the music, found it powerful and uplifting.

The only twat here was the SE marketing exec who approved of the first voice over in thinking that it was "cool and exciting" and not realizing how off it was (and you're right, they should have gone with Morgan Freeman). Also, the entire point of A Realm Reborn came out of our suggestions. Are you saying that we should have just given up on FFXIV 1.0 and let it die? Why are you here if not to talk about and have a say in perfecting the game? You seem to contradict yourself. We speak, they listen... what could be better than that for any and all MMO's?

You need to rethink your position.

I love this game, and I'm doing all I can to support it. But, I was quite underwhelmed by this trailer. :/ I'm sorry, I just was. I'm excited for Gamescom coming up though!

First narrator was really good, you guys tend to be way too overcritical when something doesn't sound like you imagined it should be. The first narrator was very fitting especially for what they was trying to achieve and it really brought about that tension and excitement for many. You guys wouldn't know good narration if the best of the best was standing right beside you doing it live somewhere.

Thats your opinion which has no more or less weight than anyone elses. I prefered the second trailer especially the voice acting though it could have used a bit more lengthy scenes rather than switching over so much.
