I didn't think it was too hard.

Exciting fight that perfectly underlines the notion of "Teamwork".
Our LS did some test runs to get a feel for the battle and once we got the strategy down, we finally completed it within 18 minutes (one of the fastest times I've seen out there).
The battle can be simple once you get the teamwork down to a "T" and that everyone has faith in their colleagues... never give up. Never.
"After ten years, finally headed to Sharlayan... absolutely stoked"
Won on third attempt. The strat isn't too complicated, but the party setup is rather imbalanced. BLMs are needed of course, at least for destroying the meteors.
I believe this fight is PERFECT for what it needs to be as an ending to the current storyline.
1. It does not require crazy-good gear. You could go in with terrible gear and still win. You could also go in with many different setups. (Multiple jobs can do damage to the lunar debris, so this is NOT one of those 'throw blms at it' fights even though many choose to assign a blm to the fragments.)
2. The trick to this fight is strategy and paying attention. 90% of the fight involves finding and standing in a 'sweet spot'. The mechanics of this fight are VERY SIMPLE once you get it down and figure it out. Ever since my LS figured out our strategy, we have consistently won.
Therefore, casual players can STILL beat this without a problem if they are good at the game and can follow directions. As you said, many people come back to the game just to progress in the storyline and will not have crazy-good gear as a result. Unlike other endgame events, the lack of good gear will not hinder them from beating this fight.
Won 1/3 today, where is too hard o.o?
Pfft I killed that fool on Botanist

I beat it with my LS the day after it came out with no strats in 3 attempts, in a rag-tag party with a paladin tank that had +41 emnity and a white mage who had no rings.
Learn how to play the game right.
We were all noobs on that fight in the beginning, your arguement holds no water.
To add to this, some of us even did it with no pre-made strategy. Do I sound arrogant? Maybe so, but I don't care, because I'm proud of what the pickup group and myself were able to accomplish without having thousands of players do it before us.
Have some sense of pride and quit expecting everything handed to you.
(Not directed at you Uni. Just adding to your point.)
