I'd like some clarification on the primals as well.
Some people say they are gone for good while others are saying it will just be different. Would love an official statement.

I could see the storyline/cutscenes/dialogue changing to fit the new era while the mechanics of the fight stay the same. Taking away primal fights completely after spending so much time on them would be a shame, especially considering we still need to see several more 'released'. The kobolds worship Titan, but he hasn't been mentioned. I'm sure the other beastmen have their allegiance elsewhere, and the beastmen loyalty to primals is a very interesting aspect of the game. Of course, I have no REAL answers, but this is how I imagine it happening. I'll be very disappointed if they are removed completely.
As far as the primal weapons... I don't think it will REALLY matter if they keep/remove the weapons. For all we know, they might change the way we obtain the weapons. Perhaps all primals will imitate the way Garuda totems/weapons work. But... by the time 2.0 hits, there will surely be better weapons. They need to add new content for people who are already ready for endgame.
I just want to know more about the seasonal events, gave us a list of achievements sill obtainable till 2.0 except them. I wish they would leave these ones in![]()
For me, it in not a matter of powerful weapons. I want primal weapons to collect them all XDI could see the storyline/cutscenes/dialogue changing to fit the new era while the mechanics of the fight stay the same. 1) yeah the current fights will be gone, primals will become roaming nm's after that nothing else was said.1) will primal battles go as well? and with them our chances to obtain their drops?
2) will discontinued achievements still display on the UI as forever unattained ones?
3) will cutter's cry and the aurum vale still exist? and will DL gear still drop from the 5 chests?
4) will stronghold and their bosses stay?
5) will some faction leves be removed? If so, which ones?
6) will skirmish and its drops stay?
7) will ALL cutscenes stay on the journal or will the dated one be gone?
2) they are going to try and keep them on lodestone.
3) the raid will still be there but good chance they'll be different.
4) strong hold will be come instanced and optimized
5) who knows about this nothing will be the same as it was.
6) skirmish might stay or go.
i think skirmish is a good system for content thats instanced even leves can take advantage of that BUT they do really need to let you in the lobby area even when your alone you still need to talk to the npc again anyways and it would clear a ton of people in town all in one spot and just keep you in that area.
Bumping for information.![]()

Well, everything is speculation to be honest. The 'Discontinued Post' said a lot without saying really anything...
1. Primals, we know they will be roaming and controlled by the Company that takes them down. What we DON'T know is if there will be 'easier' versions of the primals for storylines and small parties to kill...I kinda doubt this as the achievements will be gone for the clears, but who knows. If the Garuda and Iffy extreme parts of the relic questline REQUIRE killing the Roaming Primal...lots of people are gonna get screwed out of Relics if they aren't in a large, competitive Company... but again, no one knows what's gonna happen.
Basically, if you like having 7/7 weapons on the 3 primals... DON'T turn them in for seals until 2.0...when you know what's up.
2. In the original post on the lodestone from the Devs on this topic they hinted they are still working on a way to display any achievements you earned that are no longer in game in your Lodestone History. I take this to mean, that currently, all old achievements no longer will show UNLESS they solve the problem.
3. Using FFXI and the Wings of the Goddess expansion as a reference, the old dungeons will probably remain, BUT will be 'dated' somehow...like have damage, rock falls that closed off sections, something that makes them the same, but different. Like how Citadel was damaged and worn out in normal FFXI and expansions but in mint condition in the Wings of the Goddess expansion as it took place years BEFORE the main story.
4. Faction Leves...have no idea other than they will be changed a fair bit. But that could just mean how you earn them to how they are done to what you get to what type of battle they are. Nothing was mention about loosing the Harliquin, Templar or Buccaneer Achievement though, so I'm gonna assume we will keep many of the old leves somehow.
5. Nothing was said about not getting the skirmish achievements post 2.0. Based on this, I'd say skirmish remains in game...now whether the rewards will remain the same...who knows.
I really hope they'd tell us if the primal fights will be in 2.0 as they are in current version and if we'll be able to get all the primal drops the same way than in current version. And same things for raids (CC / AV).
Anyone else reckon they should make Garuda easier in 1.23a?
The majority of people who have weapons got them from the pre-hotfix BLM spam, and with slight adjustments the fight could be made easier, but still be a challenge.
For example:
Garuda spawns less Razor Plumes when she uses 'Plumage'
Suparna to get a HP rebalance to match Chirada.
I think these small changes would allow people to not only pug the group, but allow the fight to be less gear dependant, and allow everyone who doesn't want to miss out on these primal weapons to be able to get them. Opinions?
