    Elected leaders?

If you're one of the people who don't know how to do your job, do us all a favor. Man up and learn your job rather than try to blame others for the fact that you're no good at it.

Already finished Darnus fight, but decided to help a pickup party do it. The other WHM and leader ROYALLY sucked.

He/she deliberately ran into strike zone repeatedly until they died.
Turned on cleric stance and had to be argued into turning it off.
Was too busy racing me to cast buffs to do very many cures.
Kept stealing hate and refused to use Shroud of Saints.

And then blamed ME for it. Even sent me a /tell to tell me I have no life and no friends (lolwhat?), and then blisted me just so I couldn't respond.

I wouldn't usually make a big deal out of it, but this honestly isn't the first time I've seen it happen.
It seems to be that all the people who are the absolute worst at playing a game are the ones that can't just own their mistakes and need to take it out on others.

My point? This person was also the leader of the pt, so we couldn't easily just replace them. It would be nice if changing leaders could be done by a pt vote. Say if all pt members want to change who the leader is, they should be able to, mid battle/content. 'Cause sure you say you can just disband and re-party, but sometimes that's hard when you're currently in the middle of something.

Why not? I suppose this will help when leader goes afk, or if he or she is a total twat when Content Finder comes out.

2 kinds of people who, /airquotes "suck"

Those that don't know, but are willing to learn if you talk them through it. Be kind, conciderate and informative. No one responds well to "you suck, go learn 2 play" even if they are very willing to learn. We as a community should make it part of our gaming experience to halp this type of person. Because that also means our experience will improve.
(And if you say, well i don't want to bother. Then who will? Help if you can)

And those that are ignorant of what they do and take offence at any assistance. And then pass as much blame as possible (sound like what you had there >< ) What i do, is offer my assistance as i did for the other kind of folks. But perhaps in Party chat instead of /tells. If they rage, they may well have 6 other people telling them that its good advice. Otherwise, Up their nose with a rubber hose.

As i always say, Killem with kindness, cause usually they want a rage fest. but being nice and patient REALLY pisses them off when you help them learn that they need help ^^

it would be cool if there were some kind of rating system on leaders where feed back could be used to know if youre in a good group or not

While it sounds like they did throw themselves into the slaughter, there is nothing wrong with running cleric stance in the Darnus fight. (that is another convo though)

In this particular case though, you might be right. Slaughering yourself isn't smart, nor is drawing hate from cure spam =) Maybe that WHM should have listened to your advice.

I don't really think it's nesessary, if he's the leader it's his party, I don't think you have the right to take it from him.
Also, other players beside the leader may "suck" as well, so what do you do then? Take lead position from a perfectly fine leader just to kick that person?

How about trying to get along with each other in a friendly way?
Helping others improve and also listen to their ideas too? Because, you know, YOUR playstyle doesn't have to be the best.
And if you feel you have such a short temper you can't do it it's only fair YOU have the inconvenience of rebuilding the party. That leader had to gather 8 players, you only need one.

The situation in which I was speaking was the kind that takes offense to assistance. I reminded them to be sure to watch the hate meter and use Shroud of Saints when the hate starts to get high. That was the last straw and they told me they know what spells they have and not to tell them how to play, and then got all personal and saying I have no friends. Believe me, I wasn't going to needlessly insult the party leader.

I never spoke to them in tells, only in pt chat. No one ever bothered to agree with me because I was the only person who knew how the fight was done. They kept making the tank feel like it was his fault when he was doing a perfectly excellent job.

    I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying.
