On a side note, the forum has become this...mass fight. Where everyone name calls each other rather than try and discuss and debate. Sadly, I don't think any forum exists anymore that doesn't have name calling
I am sad to say that i cannot agree with you more on this point. you are right, even the most best interests online lead to trolling.

So I really appreciate your replies to what I've said without resorting to calling me names.
Everyone can be reasonable to a point (ok, some less so lol) but you have feeling, i have feelings. why hurt them in a rash, derogitory way. I am glad we both see eye ot eye on this

The fact that you calmly give your opinion and why you think that way just shows that you're one of the few people here that belong to the minority group as well.
Thankyou, and I can say the same about you Paksenarrion. You have your point of view, and you are willing to share it in a calm, peacefull manner. To me at least, that is worth much more respect that a view i agree on, but is offensive

P.S. As to the OP... as I said, the best thing is to ignore them and not let them bother you. But barring that route, you could accomplish the same thing that you want by shutting down the official forums, rather than the game.
I have been playing some single players. I tried LoTRO wasn't my thing. I\m actually playing Super Mario Galaxy atm lol.

GRimm undersstand one thing. THer ei n no one dev team that can work on single aim. There are alot of teams, each have a goal set, and they work on it. WHile one works on reworking combat, other works on events, other ones work on story and quests and so. not everyone there is [rogramer. they have storywriters, graphics, and such. After base of engine is ready, you actually need more of those 'other' people than actual coders and programmers. So all the shouts "stop working on this and that and fix this and something other" does not have any sense. IF they all work on single thing they would actually get in each other way, crreating bad and buggy code. Let them work, and wait. Writing a program is not like digging hole. more people not alway make for faster effect. In this case more people means they might work on more objectives.

Lol. Seems like majority of people have a low level for being reasonable. I am glad we see eye to eye as well. =) It's nice to find someone in the forum that you can discuss with, regardless if they have an opposite opinion to your own or not.

Couldn't agree more! I'd much rather have someone have an opposite opinion to mine, but discuss it calmly and without resorting to names, than someone with the exact same opinion that just can't be respectful.

I understand that there is more than one team. The player Base is on edge and it's makes it worse because the dev's aren't being as open as it seems. I wish they would post about what % they are at on some things so people would calm down and be like ''okay cool it should be coming our way soon'' and talk about how happy and excited they are rather than ''THIS NEED THIS!''

Pirated copies are no biggie for MMO's you still need to have a CODE to copy to your account so even if you download it off of a pirating site you still need that code you can only get from buying the game. I understand having servers closed would have a bad backlash. I just feel if they keep them open for too much longer with mini updates that do nothing the player base will get worse than if the server's close. A lot of us were spoiled with the FFXI NA\EU release. I'm just in short hoping SE is focused on the thing's we NEED now. not the things we WANT now.
IDK, personally "mini updates" shows a steady progression. I allows players to get used to things on a step by step level. If it was all done in one go (with or without shut downs) it would likley lead to mass confusion and of cours,e frustration on the player base.

Unfortunately MMO's survive on constant veriables. (i personally prefer a bit of randomness. oh and dont say rift, in 3-4 map looks, you will see it is not random, just pre-set chaos).

By completely overthrowing the entire game, mechanics, look, development and all, the company would loose player base on both 1) i hate these changes im off (which i agree, will happen regardless) and 2) well i am finding it difficult to find my feet in this game, it changes more times than i an log on, im playing something else.

With a gradual change it gives players an oportunity to not on discuss these changes on a section by section basis, but also allows them time to adjust to the changes given. On the whole, the same goal is reached, but with less impact.

Your right I just wish the community was a bit less childish when it comes to the waiting game myself included. I just want the game fixed now or at lest an idea of how far along it will be. Waiting for all these changes has me feeling like I did when it was showed at E3 back in 09.
