OP some that replied were too naive to understand that you were not worried about getting AF done but dual boxing farming AV and now you need others.

Solution to you since you like to play by yourself: Buy 2 more accounts and 4-box AV. Damn buy already 6 more accounts and full box everything!!!

nothing is wrong with solo contents, but sometimes you need group contents for the hardcore stuff. its a perfect balance.

Ok I made a mistake with this thread. When I reached 50 thaum, it was so natural to continue BLM leves. Didn't know it was not meant for me. No time to read the long descriptions what is to come. Leves were nice and some fights dynamite. After the 4 people fence I decided to warn if there are similar soloers that they don't waste time and make the same error. You get sympathy from me. You made good fight for your home town.

Taking on a multiplayer game as a solo player is really nothing more than Player Created Content. A self-imposed challenge outside of the intentions of the game and its developers. Not sure why there isn't more respect for soloing when its one of the toughest ways to play this game. You have to be completely self-sufficient, clever and patient. I'm rooting for you Thaum. Just a random thought. But doesn't unlocking everything up to level 50 BLM require a party? At least the final battle should.

You can solo everything up to the AF. All it requires is Sleep (earned at level 42) and some tactical thinking. Mega-ethers help too.

And the party is needed not only for the AF piece in AV, but also to complete "Into the Dark", since I don't know too many people who can beat (most of) Dzemael Darkhold while solo...

(Or even get inside, for that matter!)

In short, make some friends. Or go stand in Uldah for five hours shouting until you can get enough people together for a party (I've certainly seen plenty of that...).

I suspect that, for the OP, "Into the Dark" is going to be the hardest part of the whole BLM chain, assuming he hasn't already completed it.

Northman, I'm a casual gamer, and you're inciting my own rage and disapointment.

There is plenty, of content out there that is solo capable. There is nothing at all that prevents your Thaumaturge from reaching level 50, or any of your classes for that matter.

But please understand that 'Jobs' are a party function. You unlock them to change your class into a role specifically for the utilization of other people.

"Black Mage" and "Solo" are not two words you should be using together for anything meaningful, and that includes your Artifact armor.

Additionally, you've yet to truely explain what your animosity is against partying with others. You state issues about waiting around for a group to get together, but this matter is already in the process of being addressed with Content Finder.

The reason why you're getting such a harsh reaction is that your complains belie the lack of information you have, as well as they are unreasonable given the context of what you are talking about.

I am a soloist for much of this game and I do agree that some content must be soloable to keep players sustained to prevent burn-out on party based content.

But Jobs and AF isn't it.

So please stow away the outspoken disappointment for now. We are at the end of the 1.xx era of FFXIV and there is much on the horizon.
