Actually, if you pay attention to the CS and other related dialog, all the current primal fights are a part of the 7th umbral era content. So, the instanced versions, we have now, might not be in 2.0.Um, where did you get this idea? Ifrit and Moggle Mog were announced before the whole "7th umbral era" thing came to pass.
Only things wholly specific to the 7th umbral era like the garlean invasion outside ul'dah and dalamud getting closer with each patch won't be carrying over.


I really want a Dev Confirmation on this, I don't want to lose a Primal Weapon coz I didn't know It'll be gone soon
It's really hard to find anyone who wants to go Mog or Garuda, Ifrit is more likely since there are people who want to change it to Materia or Seals.

This month when 1.23 comes out (hopefully soon), there will hopefully be a list of things not available anymore in 2.0. Though they want to make this list it MIGHT not actually be available.
INB4 "but it was promised" when it never actually was.

There's no LS that wants someone with no level 50 group experience (as in the last 4 weeks I hit 50 for the first time) for primals.
Also I happen to be on when 80% of the players are Japanese. ;-; Looks like I'm not going to get the chance to even participate in an end-game primal fight.


i hope if the the primal fights stay make the rewards system like FFXI where you win you pick a reward then you can pick a different one the next win. they should also add other items like GC seals as a reward to pick that way people can keep doing it and there will be no cold periods LFP's.

I"m sad the primal battles are going. Instanced boss fights are one of my favorite things to do in FFXIV. It's sad to see them go, only to get zerged by a whole server. That's fun too, but taking down a challenging boss with a group of 8 is much more epic. Especially when I don't have to fight through a whole dungeon first.

I've been thinking SE could Upgrade the Overall Reward system abit (Not just Garuda):
-1 Totem for a Successful Run (Primal Battles)
-2 Totem for Speed Run (Primal Battles)
-Totems can be exchanged for Items such as: Primal Weapons, Seals, Materia, Gil, Hamlet coins for Points,etc
-Dungeon Totems exchanged for: Dungeon Gears, Seals, Materia, Gil, Hamlet Coins for points, etc
-Each Chest of Primal or Dungeon still have a Droprate for Item drops.
-Totems for dungeon: 1 for each chest at the end of dungeon for everyone participating. (5 Chest SR = 5 Totems)
-Longer Dungeon Timer or a Quota in exchange for Higher Droprates
-(Specific) Primal Battles: 3 times a day / 3 Hours timer. (Specific) Dungeon: 5 times a day / 3 Hours timer
I believe one of the reasons New Contents are being cleared really quick is because Players can spam on it however much they like, sure Droprate is lower, but they can do it lots of times and therefore, develop strategies quickly.
With Quota or Longer timer, players will have less time to practice on New contents, therefore New Contents will last longer than what we have now. Also, people will most likely be motivated by seeing Progress on their Raids / Primal Content.
Additionaly, people who are done with said Contents can come back again If they want Seals / Materia, Players doing content will also be more spread out since they cannot do certain contents during Timer / 0 Quota, so they will/can do something else.
This is just an example of how SE can improve contents (In my Opinion), whatever SE do to improve is up to them.

I dunno but if garuda is a part of the relic quest, how can it be gone in 2.0?


If Good King Mog XII isn't in 2.0 I'm leaving this game forever. I don't care if it's instanced or open world. But that fight better say. As should the music.
