    Seems odd that they'd take out one of the biggest features to the gameplay as it is now. 2.0 needs a lot of stuff to fill that gap if they remove it.

    Yeah if they are required for relics (unless they change the quest) I think they most likely will stay. Also would they really spend all that time creating the fights just to remove them in 2.0 so people who played 1.0 with their weapons can be special snowflakes? I hope they keep them heh

    I remember reading somewhere that they will be changing the cutscenes and relative quests to make sense with 2.0, but the fights themselves are staying. I could be wrong and I'm too tired to go looking for confirmation but I really do remember reading that.

    So, if I'm correct, the only thing that we won't be seeing after 2.0 releases is the special cutscenes and quests and dialogue that we have now.

    Yeah that makes the most sense. Battles will stay. The storyline will change because it wouldn't make sense not to.

    How are the battles to stay if Primals are supposed to be open-world roaming bosses that you kill to get your Free Company to summon them :/?

    The same way there are three different types of Ifrit battle already? You can have both, I don't understand your confusion here.

    Okay I wanna say this because it's a misconception people keep having it was never said that final battles would be removed What was that is that we would get the roaming ones but they would not be removing both of them Will exist as it is untouched

    I was just talking to my LS about this earlier today, about if the Relic quests were changed due to the Primals. I have a feeling that they will, because I know that my friends on my LS (and their friends on other LSs) don't have enough time to do all of the requirements for the Relic quests (aka, social life and life offline from the game). I really wish the quests would change, but hopefully they will if enough people complain or are finding the quests too demanding.

    I was thinking that you'd have to get your job to Lv50 and get certain H/NM (Hyper Notorious Monster or just a plain NM) to be killed. See, there could be H/NMs out in the world that have an affinity of sorts (or items that are required to use in making of the weapons) to the Primals, and they have special drops that are required ingredients for making the said Relic weapons. If that could be implimented, you would have the required ingredients and the only way to meld them into the weapon would be to fight the Primals (kind of like the unfinished weapons and how they have to be melded by battling Ifrit and Garuda). There could be a certain combination of Primals you'd have to fight for each Relic weapon (if there is going to be more Jobs in 2.0 that need different weapons). Like you need Shiva and Garuda defeated in order to make X Relic Weapon, and such.
