compared to the time you spend in any single endgame dungeon at endgame is this really any different?

I keep changing my mind on this, ok hamlet drop rate is good well decent enough.
Seal drop rate is not great, the probliem being only 1 seal general drops at a time & it takes about 4~10 hamlet runs of 20 mins to get 1,2 maybe 3 seals. which isnt good nor fair as you need a group of 8 & those 8 people need seals & also many of those people dont know you only need to get the seals once, so they horde.
The seals should of been added to the beastman camps as drops instead plain, simple, easy, smart!.
But if they wanted to force hamlet on us so bad they should of made Seals item drop as an achivement award for every 1, 5, 10 hamlets you attend, therefore everyone could get them instead of this current hording when you only need 3, not helping after you have your 3 from that hamlet. e.t.c.
(i've said it before "They just dont think! or they just dont care!")

The only thing that makes getting seals from hamlet crappy (other than the fact that it's boring hamlet) is people being flaky/shady/rude/selfish/idiotic.
That's why you make sure you go with people who you trust/like/know wont leave after they get their 1 seal for the day without notice etc.
It's called making friends.
Such a lost art on most modern MMO players.
However; none of this has anything to do with the drop rate.
The drop rate isn't what's stopping players from getting their seals.
It's the randomness of the people they encounter in their pick up groups (or crappy linkshells).

Was in Aleport today. Had about 4-5 successful 60k+ runs. Out of those, 2 runs dropped 3 seals total.
I don't hamlet often, but generally every night the LS has successful runs, they obtain at least one seal.
Oh, and my seals? I gave them away. I have no plans to obtain the relic weapon. It's bad enough that I still need the Primal weapons.
