It doesn't matter how fast you level your classes. In the end you have to complete a set of quest to unlock abilities for your jobs.
and holy shit... the OP enjoyed fatigue. @_@

With every passing day, 2.0 feels like it will become nothing but endgame instanced, tiered raids over and over and over, just like every other modern MMO out there. Please, please don't go down this route Square, I'm sick of the current trends in the genre, do something different please
Well from what i heard in past interviews Yoshida-san is a big fan of DAoC, and well so am I.
I played that game for a long time when I was younger and I loved leveling and doing quests and adventuring and the journey we had to take to get to places and levels!
Sure you could also level up just by doing RvR also but you could enjoy exp parties too, and those were so fun! Going into Darkness Falls and exping with a bunch of friends and then all of a sudden other Higher Level Realm players would run by and just slaughter you when you least expected it! Those things always made me have a good laugh lol.
But back on topic, the journey around the areas and leveling in new places with different mobs, some that you've never seen before that is what I love! And just the way in the interview it was said "Short Time" just made me uneasy and made me think just what Jynx is saying... "Oh...I hit 50? ok...." sounds like I achieved nothing after I reached 50.
Also totally this ^I really hope the concept isn't you level from 1-50 then the game starts.
I do not want the game to start once I reach 50 and make the leveling just a way to ACTUALLY start... :/

Speaking as someone who also enjoys a little more meat on my leveling curve, this is a pretty reasonable statement, and something I can get behind. That being said, I would argue that what we have right now isn't serving that purpose well. Players never really get the opportunity to learn their skills, either because they got power leveled, or because they ended up soloing all the way to 50, or just because the mechanics in parties are completely different than the mechanics in end-game content.
I'd like a middle road please. Can we have some meatier leveling that actually teaches us our roles without grinding us into a fine dust? The thing about FFXI party based leveling was that, while it was tedious, often easy, and slow, at least the formation of the parties, and the way you played was very similar to your ultimate roles in end-game. I don't really feel we can say the same in FFXIV.
Haha, no, that was my wishful-thinking-self speaking. I never heard anything like that confirmed yet.
And also I'm not saying stop focusing on endgame stuff cuz really this game needs content like crazy lol. And I hope they continue to pump out that endgame stuff cuz in FFXI my second favorite thing was endgame, actually it was pretty much tied at first with Exping lol. I'm just saying I like the journey.I, for one, appreciate the fact that FFXIV is focusing more on endgame dungeons, NMs and other such content and not on grinding/leveling. I never found leveling fun and I was glad when it was over.
Hey now, people are low level for at least a couple of hours.I like the lower level quests for lore and other fun.

Gosh you still really continue to get under my skin. Try looking at it from a different perspective. Some people actually have lives. I know right? Ohh Emm GeeI understand why players whine about leveling because they want everything right now. But I imagine if they just flat out got rid of levels people would probably wince and complain about it.
If they are going to treat leveling like a obsticle rather than a adventure, they should just start everyone at level 50 "And raise their level when they raise the cap!" Because if leveling is a short 3 day trip it may as well not even be part of game balance.
Why have low level monsters? Dungeons? Gear? Content? Quests? ___________?
People whine about leveling because they are sad that they can't get everything RFN. People are impatient, it's SE's job to make that rise to the top feel like it's worth it. Christ every other MMO I've played people would always be like.
F*** Yeah! Max level babies!
FFXIV....Oh...I hit 50? ok.
I guess it's fun to accuse people who enjoy a MMO that can last them years to "Have no lives". I can throw out stupid and random acusations to!
"It's a shame that you feel your MMO needs to end a few weeks after you start it. Perhaps if you had a "Life" worth living you would be living it and not using the 10 seconds of free time you have to play a MMO.
You know because your so busy with life and all."
1-50 fast way ?! No thank you. That will only crush the spirit of current game.
1-50 its good now, we dont need to rush it up ! :P
