Yes. Silence those filthy casuals, they have no place in this game.Hello,
I'm glad everyone is enjoying the thread, but it seems to have gone a bit off-topic. Don't be alarmed if you see some posts that need to be moderated. We know you enjoy the discussion and we'd like to keep this thread open, but we'd appreciate it if you'd stay more on topic and refrain from any personal attacks. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Funny, those that tend to enjoy leveling are the ones that go out of their way to find different places to level.LOL,
They want hardcore play but they take that as sitting in a spot grinding out a bar. How about we get real hardcore people and get world bosses that take combined effort and a four hour battle to kill. That was hardcore in FFXI, not grinding out the mundane levels.

I don't know how this turned into a casual vs hardcore thread. As I said in a previous casual vs hardcore thread that got closed, How many hours you put into the game shouldn't define you as casual/hardcore. Your ability to operate in content in the should define you as bad/good/or great. Please dont turn this into a casual versus hardcore thread or it will get locked. The thread is about the concerns of people that feel leveling should mean something versus those that feel leveling is just a stepping stone.

Funny, they deleted the posts (like mine) that actually made some sense and contributed to why faster leveling is bad. So I'll just repeat myself.
I don't understand why people must come to a game and whine that they have to level and they have to spend time doing it. Endgame content is not the only content, so please people get that out of your heads. If I wanted to play an easy leveling game, I'd go play a single player game. THIS is an MMO, which is supposed to last for years, not a couple of weeks like a single player game. All these people that nag about how "long" it takes to level is just ruining the game. That causes the devs to focus all their attention on endgame content.
Sometimes I really hate the people that think they are "entitled" because they "have a life". I'm a full time college student with a part time job and have all classes/jobs to 50 INCLUDING a level 50 crafter. Don't come in here and tell me I have no life.
Ok, now I'm all happy.

			Hi Guys,
I know it's only been a brief moment since my post, but going through the thread, and judging by the comments made after my last post, I'm afraid we're going to have to lock this thread. There are some very good opinions and we're very happy so many of you feel so passionately about FFXIV. Unfortunately, some of that passion is spilling over into behavior that is unacceptable on the forums. If you decide to continue this discussion elsewhere, I hope it can remain productive, on topic, and most of all civil.
Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.
