Regarding the legacy campaign announcement- New deadline?

I've been trying to read through this thread to figure this out by myself, and I'm just getting confused.

Right now, it seems that the May 31st deadline is only for those who had NEVER registered their game? I bought this game last year and played for a little while and then quit. I paid for 30 days on June 9th, and after reading about the legacy status today, signed up for 90 days (however, I won't be billed until July 9th). Does that mean my account is not eligible for Legacy? I had the impression that as long as you signed up for 90 days BEFORE June 30th, you were fine (even if billing occurred later), but after reading through this thread, I'm not so sure anymore.

Oh well, game is fun, I guess that's what matters (just wanted that Chocobo, hahaha). Should have read about it when I came back!

You should be fine. If you started paying before the end of June, and continue paying until September, you'll get into Legacy (whether you buy a 90-day option or keep up your 30-day recurring). The May 31st deadline was because the 30 days of time included with a new copy of the game don't count towards Legacy.

(Which means I just missed it.)

For me, it is not about the price plans. For me it is about the chocobo, period. So, when I saw that I could qualify for a rare chocobo, that you can only get via the Legacy Campaign, I was stoked! Sure alot of you have been here since the beginning. Myself, I have been waiting as long but I had real life issues to deal with. ...

For me neither, I'm just pretty sure THAT rare chocobo will be female...

As for IRL, my mind was blown to see how I didn't know about the 90 day sub option, so I clicked it with around 9k crysta in my account. I also still play FFxi for friends still there. I want to see if a new expansion will be released.

For those who have gotten the Legacy bonus, about how long does it take for the email saying you're eligible for the Legacy discount to arrive? I didn't purchase my 90 days until my last payment period depleted last night, so I should have 3 days to spare, but due to old SE email arrival times I am a bit scared. That said, a friend's Legacy option came through within a minute of adding his 90 days.

No issues with the May qualifier; my copy's been registered since last year.

Sorry, if you did not register before May 31st you cannot qualify for Legacy.

I wouldn't fret because those who are positive in the face of adversity will receive a more rewarding experience and be recognized. I don't know how but I'm sure while SE is reading this, their cooking up something for those who did subscribe for all the right reasons even though they didn't make it on time for the Legacy Campaign.

Ok so, here's my scenario, I had 1000 crysta that I bought back in oct of last year, then I quit and never used the crysta, I then reactivated my account last month, I bought more crysta and applied it, so now ive used 2k crysta which equals two months basically, I bought a third 1k of crysta, but I cant seem to apply it, and even if I do will this count towards my 90 days? Please someone let me know asap.

I'm sorry you're so disappointed about Legacy status. Sounds like you were really looking forward to it.

But stick with it! Legacy chocobos are a vanity hand out. Eventually everyone will be using/riding chocos that they've raised. ^^
