Regarding the legacy campaign announcement- New deadline?

You're right. No sense in arguing either way. Truth is the Legacy page should either be updated or taken down altogether in order to avoid any further confusion by people buying the game in the near future hoping to get the discount. Maybe I'm just strict on reading the fine print.

No, I bought the game because I missed playing what I consider to be a challenging MMO. My first MMO was FFXI. I played for about 3 years before I went to WOW. WOW is fun and has it's strong points, but frankly, it is like playing a game with training wheels. There is no risk involved. Synth always works, you can not delevel by death, etc. Almost every other game out there is trying their best to be WOW. I want something original, challenging, and fun. Because of the lack of trainign wheels in their games, the FF games tend to develop vast communities of helpful and friendly players. You just do not see that anywhere else.

That being said, I was in the process of verifying that my system will run this game, I needed the benchmark. While browsing I had seen reference to 2.0. This made me hesitate. I almost did not buy the game because they are reworking it again. So, I was back to deciding if I wanted to buy it now, and play a game that is not ready by the dev's standards, or just wait. While looking for the benchmark I found the Legacy Campaign. For me, it is not about the price plans. For me it is about the chocobo, period. So, when I saw that I could qualify for a rare chocobo, that you can only get via the Legacy Campaign, I was stoked! Sure alot of you have been here since the beginning. Myself, I have been waiting as long but I had real life issues to deal with. When you are in the middle of a divorce, playing FF just is not a priority. a have reached a point where I am ready to come back. I miss being around players that actually care about helping the new guys, and not just mocking them because they aren't "Leet". Framkly, in FFXI even the most elite player faceplanted if they caught agro while traveling to a group and couldn't out run that Goblin that could out run them... I know this is a long and rambling answer to your question but I feel that maybe you underestimate us. We didn't just arrive at this nice and shiny destination known as the Internet, or at this website, by accident. Any FF fan that stood in line for 24+ hours to get FFVII at release has probably been waiting for SE to get this release back up to speed. I just felt like maybe it was time. And if I could get into Legacy because I started now instead of waiting for 2.0 launch, great! But to tell me I can qualify and then tell me I can't, even though the page still says I can... That is unfair, in my opinion. So, before you say I am not entitled because I jsut started THIS game, ask yourself how long I have been waiting for the game that still isn't working as planned, to get fixed. SE is working hard to get 2.0 finished. Great! To me, anyone that supports those efforts by becoming a paying customer, should be a part of that Legacy. If you think I am wrong, fine, that is still your opinion. I will respect it. But the simple fact is that you can not say one thing on the Legacy Campaign page and then say something else and not update that page, and expect the new players not to be upset because you showed us the nice shiny chocobo, etc and then you took it away.

Exactly. That was my point. If I am not in Legacy, ok. But anyone new that sees that page will make the same mistake as me. Yes, I will play 2.0 with or without Legacy status. I don't care about the discounts. I would gladly pay $15 a month for the basic service. I only need one character... I just mourn the loss of my nice shiny chocobo lol.

Either way, I am having a blast playing, even if it is "broken". I am here to stay. I just wanted to make my point that the page is misleading.

So I changed from the 30 day to 90 day package but I wont be billed till the 14th will I be Eligible? My account was registered when the game first came out but I stopped playing because I couldnt play due to my comp not being good enough.

I've been trying to read through this thread to figure this out by myself, and I'm just getting confused.

Right now, it seems that the May 31st deadline is only for those who had NEVER registered their game? I bought this game last year and played for a little while and then quit. I paid for 30 days on June 9th, and after reading about the legacy status today, signed up for 90 days (however, I won't be billed until July 9th). Does that mean my account is not eligible for Legacy? I had the impression that as long as you signed up for 90 days BEFORE June 30th, you were fine (even if billing occurred later), but after reading through this thread, I'm not so sure anymore.

Oh well, game is fun, I guess that's what matters (just wanted that Chocobo, hahaha). Should have read about it when I came back!
